Still related to Silent Hill..... BUT regarding a completely different aspect...

So we all know that Hollywood's event is a lot more graphic & sexualized than the Orlando event, but it seems that even with Hollywood's puppet masters pulling some of the strings this year, our event can't escape its dreaded PG rating....

HHN Hollywood's Announcement:

HHN Orlando's Announcement:

The event hasn't even started yet and it is already being "censored" <_<

Hint: The lack of cleavage.

One has a lot more legs showing, the other has cleavage. The bottom looks more vicious.

I really hope it's for advertising, and at the event they wear what they wear normally

I thought that was pretty weird and really funny, take away the cleavage, but add those super long legs and hips... LOL,

I didn't even notice the cleavage gone at first,

but, I doubt they will do that to the costumes,

Seeing as how "parents" complained a few years ago about "glorifying violence and death" with the Bloody Mary billboards around town, I can see why, if they use this for ads, they'd cover up the cleavage. Most of the visitors to the city are minors and the last thing we need are "parents" complaining about their kids seeing it on the way to Disney or WWoHP (if they took a drive down Orange Blossom Trail at night, this would be the furthest thing from their minds...).

Complaints about HHN & its advertising has been going on for years... it even dates back to the "Frightmares" logo of the gremlin keeping the eyelid open....

People complained about 2002's I4 Caretaker billboard with its green glowing eyes.... calling it "demonic"

In 2007, parents complained about Freddy, Jason & Leatherface being on the Burger King tray liners & cups

in 2008, mothers complained about the rather tame & not-so-scary Bloody Mary billboards being "too scary" & "causing their children to have nightmares", UNI's response to this complaint..... they put up MORE billboards lol

I'm pretty sure there were complaints in 2009 as well...

the point is... censoring the event in any form is just being weak & giving the parents more power. And i'm sorry, but there are worse things to be seen on billboards or tv than a pair of silent hill nurse boobs... just sayin. lol And this is for a HORROR event that even has a "May Not Be Suitable For Children Under 13" warning on the website.

Typical Soccer Mom Reaction:

"Oh hey there was another hacked & slash body on the 6'o'clock news, no big deal though. But OMGZ I CANT BELIEVE THERE IS HORROR PORN ON A HORROR EVENT'S WEBSITE! My child must not be exposed to a character's revealing outfit from a videogame i bought him for his bday last year!"

I'm liking the description of the house.

In the eerie and desolate town of Silent Hill, ash falls from the sky and the physical laws of nature no longer apply. If you dare to venture into this alternate dimension, there is only one law of nature with which you must concern yourself: survival.

Hopefully we see some "never before seen" effects.

so it is safe to say that the nurses and Pyramid head will be in the house, a room full of nurses,

but, What else will they bring? how will the actors look besides those two examples,

i wonder what creatures they will think of, I wonder if it will only be humanoid creatures, or if they will make some sort of props of other creatures,

I'm hoping we get to see the mannequin monsters. :)

yeah that might be a given too, since it would be really easy to make for them

that might probably be throughout the whole house

In my opinion Silent Hill is an ok horror genre game and movie but they could have gone with so many other titles such as the F.E.A.R. series, Fallout series, or even the original Resident Evil series. But I hope that Silent Hill will be good house with a few good scares.

lol that is exactly what someone else told me, but Resident Evil, another zombie house?... we are getting Walking Dead (or copy house) so another zombie house.. I mean, that's what it basically is,

and Silent hill works in many ways because the monsters are horrible but human looking enough, so it should be easy for the costume department

I find both ads to be pretty risque if you ask me.

While from videos I've seen of Hollywood, other than the Freddy or Zombie dancers of year's past, it seems like the sexuality is on the same level at both. I've never been to Hollywood though, so I can only go off of what I see online. Between the Death Drums show last year, Bill & Ted, and the blood shot girls, I wouldn't say Orlando is PG at all.

Oh, by the way, if the nurses are wearing either costume, I'll be pretty happy about them scaring me. ;)

that's a good point, I think we will definitely see it, but I wonder if it will be a prop, or an actor going to scare you

More than likely a scareactor. It'd be pretty ineffective as a prop. Unless it was a whole room full of them. Some real, some fake.

Hollywood is by far a more R-Rated event compared to Orlando. Death Drums only had one sexed up show, the other two not so much. The jello shot girls are not really any more slutified than a bartender (actually they wear more than a bartender).

As for Bill & Ted... hah. The show is barely a PG-13 and that is coming from a #1 fan of the show who will defend it until I die. If anything, it needs more sex appeal just like the rest of the event.

Hollywood is more hardcore and isn't afraid to do so.

2007's F13 house in Hollywood had a sex-scene kill

2009's SAW house in Hollywood had a frozen naked female body.

All of the years they had Chucky's Insult Emporium

I'm sure there are more  worthy things at Hollywood that Freak or Zombieman could list. As for the Silent Hill nurses, it is a little ridiculous that Orlando seriously felt the need to cover up the iconic game character's chest (by that I mean the character is iconic not their chest you pervs lol). My point is, the event is not for kids & its not like the kids aren't already SEEING the sexualized nurses already since they play the games.

Hey now... Residently Evil isn't just "zombies". Not in the sense of TWD or Zombieland, Dawn of the Dead etc... there is the whole genetics lab aspect. Not to mention all of the mutations which provide all sorts of unique monsters. Nemesis, Tyrant, lickers, etc... so if UNI was to adapt RE into a house, i'd say it would provide something "new" & "fresh" to the event just like Silent Hill is going to do this year...

See.. I found a way to tie this post into SH

Did not know about that scene in the Friday the 13th house. I also forgot about that prop in the Saw house... I remember seeing a picture of that somewhere and thinking "Holy crap, how'd they allow that to fly?". Like I said Hollywood from what I've seen is definitely more pushy, I was just trying to dismiss the idea that Orlando is a PG event because they push it in some ways too.

Come on now, some of the complaining around the internet is getting a little silly. There's been plenty of cleavage in just my two years of visiting HHN. Grown Evil bats? The ice queen character? 7? I mean, I'm a guy who enjoys cleavage as much as the next, but it won't make or break either Silent Hill house so it really shouldn't be that huge of an issue.

I'm very unfamiliar with the Silent Hill franchise, but I've been checking out some of the stuff on YouTube and a mannequin monster would be terrifying.

LOL, I know Resident Evil has great monsters, But I don't know if they could do them for HHN, a lot of the monsters have complicated designs, if they did a RE house they would probably stick to the zombies and a couple of Lickers here and there I think,
