HHN 22 Speculation

Recommended Posts

No. The main focus in 2009 was on SAW, Wolfman & Chucky.... they did nothing to promote The Usher (unless you count the Publix ticket standee with his hand in the window). It wasn't just on one IP... just like 2007's "main attraction" was NOES, F13 & TCM...

Yeah I know what you mean. But out of the "big three" I would say most of the focus was on Saw. But thats totally based off opinion. I guess we kind of have a similar situation this year with our "big three" being TWD, Silent Hill, and Alice Cooper/P&T. All depends on how you look at it though. Or how they'll promote it.

WHAT...if P&T were pitched last year everyone would have lost their collective minds with happiness. The thought of people being judgmental of a house before your go in is a slippery slope. If P&T is a let down, BEFORE YOU GO TO THE EVENT, then SH and TWD and AC will probably suck too right?!?! what a terrible attitude to have...IMO

I feel like the plot for Pen & Teller is partially due to last year's whining over the nonexistent casino house. Careful what you wish for, I guess.

Is that a bad thing?.... because people have been wishing for a SH house for years & its finally happening.

the lack of a casino house last year was due to marketing forcing Lady Luck into the event.

I don't know; I haven't gone in it yet.

silent hill is supposed to be a "Hell world" more or less, where your fears and guilt's comeback and kill you, pyramid head is a "demon" really hes represents guilt...all the monsters and such represent your worst fears and feelings and are all labled as demons, when demons take over the earth which is what the christian bible says they will destroy life...so yes thats post apocalyptic...a stretch, maybe but not hard to see as that either

Wow... you really misinterpret Silent Hill.

What you poorly titled, "Hell world," is called, "Otherworld," and is an alternate reality built upon the psychological repression of individual protagonist of each game. The Order (the cult) works to bring about the apocalypse, but NEVER ACTUALLY DOES SO. Otherworld is visited, never raised. It's nearly identical to the concept behind The In-Between where you visit another dimension filled with demonic creatures. By your poorly stretched argument, The In-Between was post-apocalyptic.

Also... by your logic, we could say Alice Cooper is, "post-apocalyptic" because the book was Revelations was revealed to its writer in a dream and in Alice Cooper we are visiting a dream. Just because an argument exist doesn't mean it's right.

^thank you dr. jimmy. apocalypse isn't necessarily bad. The actual dictionary definition really surprises some people. But perhaps what is revealed is THE WALKING DEAD...OMG I'm sorry but am I the only one who thinks that Universal telling us that the theme of this years event is TWD is a little lazy...perhaps not, maybe they'll incorporate it nicely, but its hard to see now.

you know the word apocalypse is misused. It does not mean "end of the world disaster", it is Greek for "that which is uncovered" or if you like "revealed".

I have always found the misuse of that word fascinating.

People have revelations all the time. Saying I have had a revelation would mean I have had a new idea, finalley understand an idea/concept, or that an idea or concept was revealed to me.

But if I said I have seen the coming of revelations, people would assume I have seen the coming of the end days.

Any news on the parade building house...have we a theme, or idea of concept(aside from "Photograph house") may be dead exposer sequel? It fits with TWD and P&T and AC, if you play rock music in the line or something...maybe a rockstars last hours during the same day as before? Just spitballing.

I know HOS did the MyX house but i don't think this even comes close to a copy and paste like A&D are NOT GOING TO DO! maybe same kinda idea tho

Would you believe.... Apocalypso??? hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah

it'd be awesome if they saw your video and made them record that song and play it on loop through the house :D

I'm liking the sound of this house. More so than the other 3. I imagine it as the dark humor house of the year, but still have the potential to be plenty scary.

I posted this on the Penn and Teller thread but I figured it should be put here too.

So on the whole P&T appearing in their house sometimes......................They have cancelled all of their shows starting on October 13th until October 20th. After that they have a show scheduled on the 26th in Connecticut. After that they appear to be off until November 3rd. You can see this info for yourself at the following links.

Even IF "photograph" was actually approved, which we don't know that it is. It would NOT be a sequel to Dead Exposure.

1- DE was tied into the Bloody Mary backstory.

2- DE was a zombie house.

3- If we even get "photograph", it would be more like a few past HHN houses of the 90s in the style of 2008's DE.

I have been thinking about the houses they have announced so far and I came up with an idea. What if each house this year represents a certain medium of entertainment? Like Silent Hill represents video games, Walking Dead represents television, Alice Cooper represents music, and Penn and Teller represent the stage. If we get a house based on literature, it could end up being our long rumored H.P. Lovecraft house. :)

I was highly disappointed with P&T before actually seeing the official release. Now I think that they may just pull it off. They're just trying to tell us that everything's all right, when it really isn't....I like that idea a lot. Sounds like a lot of fun.

As for the theme being zombies....well, HOS did pull it off very well last year. They even had different themed zombies...I remember there being clown zombies, Egyptian zombies, and radioactive zombies amongst others. I felt that their unthemed streets (though themed actors) pulled off a better atmosphere than HHN's streets last year.

If HHN does nothing but roaming zombies this year, they definitely will just look like they're copying HOS...and if it's only a TWD theme, then they won't be able to achieve what HOS did because the zombies will all be the freaking same.

It won't be happening this year. I can guarantee you that. If we were to be getting a "Lovecraft" house, it'd be located in a soundstage and not something that could be built within a month before rehearsals in a last minute location. However, Mike Aiello said last year that they have been planning a Lovecraft house, but want to do it properly. So It might happen within the next year or so, but definitely not this year.

I think maybe you didn't read my post correct;ly...its was speculation, and if you recall i stated maybe a house like MyX at HOS but with zombies or w/e...A sequel doesn't have to follow the EXACT SAME STORY, they could change it for HHN 22...I don't think you give A&D enough credit. Just because its a sequel to DE doesn't make it necessarily the same story...Know what I mean...I don't want to piss ne one off but Thats my opinion...just a thought, I don't work at USO...lol...obviously...but That's just my idea. It would work with AC being right there....not trying rock the boat...*napoleon dynamite voice*...GEEZ. Carry on.

I'm not really sure where you're going with the MyX thing. If it's rock music then AC fills that genre.

You just reiterated what Weskers was saying about the "photograph" house. Kind of.

While it would be a "sequel" do to the style of house, the story would in no way connected to the previous house.

But, I will give the clue that everyone else has to the story/theme of this house. If it happens.

This house will be "classic".

From what I herd, someone said that the parade bulding was going to house something based on the Universal Monsters/100 years of universal horror. I dont honstly believe it, but it is very possible seeing how we have all the IPs this year, But I would like to see a "dead exposure style house"

something based on the Universal Monsters/100 years of universal horror.

But I would like to see a "dead exposure style house"

Take both of those and put them together.... and that is "photograph"...

but like its been said many times already... we are not sure if that particular concept was ever approved.
