HHN 21 Merchandise

I'm sorry but if only one person is gonna say it then I will too: the hoodies SUCK. i know we've been asking for them for a while now but they could've at least given some better effort into them. Its just the logo on the chest of the hoodie and I'm suppose to pay $40 for that? a plain black hoodie with an HHN logo on the side? I've seen better rip-offs from over the years.

And kimlovesfl said that someone was "bitching" just because they said the same thing. Well, if thats bitching then lets not forget when everyone was also bitching about hoodies. I'm just saying I'm upset that we finally got them and not even worth buying. All of you are just mindlessly wasting money on a mediocre hoodie just because you're happy they're finally selling, which is okay (i guess) but I'm not gonna buy a hoodie that looks like one I have in my closet except with a little HHN logo on left side.

It all depends what style you like, I like the very plain and simple design like the hoodies this year. I would have liked it more if they just had the hhn logo not 21.

Bought a hoodie and the lanyard :)

Now if i can find the cards if they ever get any more in

In regards to the hoodie, I agree.. it needs some help. My thought is to buy one and come up with my own art for the back of it (I am a graphic artist.) If I do this, I would want to make the art available for other people on here to add to their shirt (No, I am NOT going to charge for it.) My only question is if I come up with a design we can print, how would we get it on the back?? (Iron on seems a bit tacky.) Any ideas?? My other thought is to come up with designs for patches but they are expensive to get printed unless we get at least 50.

Just to throw it out there, I bought the deck of cards, the house shirt, and the limited edition pin at the Twister gift shop yesterday at about 4:30PM. I also saw the lady's tank top, the hoodie, the lanyard, the key-chain, the two shot glasses, and the icon shirt there as well. Basically, they had everything but the Annual Pass Holder pin (which can "only" be bought at the Universal Store within the park). It's all a matter of buying what you want ASAP, as a few members have already stated on this thread. If carrying around your merchandise for the rest of the evening is that big of a deal, then rent a locker for the night at the front of the park. It's like $10. Problem solved.

So I'm going to get my jacket before I go in at the city walk place. Then if they have the pins maybe and the keychain maybe. Just the cards and jacket I want and i don't want them running out before i can get them. Is this a good plan? Wanna know and be smart!

Sorry posted 3 times! On pho.e! Someone delete the other 2!

Also if you buy your merchandise at the Universal Studios Store inside the park you can have them hold your stuff for you until you leave HHN. Just ask the employee who is helping you at the time and they will give you a slip to fill out and then they will give you a ticket to hold on to. You'll be able to pick up your merchandise later that night at the It's a Wrap store located by the exit in USF. Just make sure that you get your merchandise before closing time and you don't lose your ticket... :)

For those wanting to get the deck of cards, I have to start by telling you they are $10.95. Furthermore, none of the cards have any special designs, not even the Ace of spades. Basically, your getting cards in which the backing is black and has a Halloween Horror Nights 21 logo. I did what I call the "shuffle test". I shuffled them a few times and cut the deck. They are not so cheap that they will tear (such as the ripoff at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Tampa) but when you place the deck on the table you will notice they do bend a little bit. This bend is normal wear and tear when playing with cards. Overall, I'm slightly disappointed but not pissed off enough to tell people not to buy them; just don't expect to use them in a home game like I thought I would be able to.

Iron ons are pretty tacky. The best and cheapest way is to create a simple design that only uses one or two colors and screen print it. There are many ways to do that, but the easiest method would be doing something like this

.

Protip: Embroidery hoops work well if ya can't get a hold of a cheap frame, and you do not need to cut out the design. One could trace the design lightly on the screen as well.

For example, I started making this for a personal t-shirt based on one of the pumkins at hhn 20 (never got around to finishing it though). Something like this on the back (perhaps with some glow in the dark fabric paint) would look neat.

KEYCHAIN!/!?!?!?!?!?!?!???!?!?!

No he means the Hats.

Also to try and answer the few questiona above There are 2 different pins there is the one with the roulette wheel and there is the one for the annual passholders. As far as the keychains go more than likely there will still be some left towards the end of the event. They usually try to make enough merchandise to last the entire event. And as far as the hoodies go if they are selling like the way they are now Uni will get more in for HHN 21. If Uni is making money on a certain piece of merchandise they will definitely get more in to sell. And if not theres always ebay... :D

i saw hoodies all over the place yesterday. im sure theyll have enough of those becuase they know how much people have been wanting them. the people in the main UO store said theyre sold out of cards completely and are trying to get more shipped in, but might not.

Hoodies were at the main store ip front at 1:30am tonight ... cards are long gone at this point .... maybe they are getting more made but there are currently sold out!!! Pins, hats, shirts and keychains are plentiful too.

Good to know. Now I know the stuff I want will be there when I go on the 6th... :) Also anyone know if they still have the annual passholder pins???

I asked two different supervisors in the Universal Store this past Friday night about the cards. They did, indeed, confirm that the decks of cards were sold out the first weekend and that they will not be ordering more. I'm hoping that they are mistaken. How could Universal not take advantage of such a sale - they know that the cards would continue to sell, and at $11.00 per deck, they would rake in the money. I was there the first Friday night, but they were "sold out for the night" and I didn't make it back until this past Friday to find them "sold out for good." Come on Universal, really?
