oh yeah that is the one thing i do always, GRAB THAT ROPE PEOPLEwhen the room with the weird floor comes, grab the rope, always, i almost slipped really bad first time, now i grab the rope always

Or you could just walk on the left flat side on the side ways floor. There's enough room to walk comfortably while everyone walks all side ways behind you.

:)

As far as houses, this is probably #4 on my list. It's one of the better houses for me.

Ya we notice alot of the times people can see the eyes sure but that doesnt mean the scare is busted. Its not like you know exactly what we will do even though you do see us we still have a few tricks up our sleeves. its funny to see people NEVER notice me and i can get the same group up to 4 times if i wanted to even in plain sight. The eyes feel like a distraction from the rest of the body so that way you are not aware of what will happen since your staring into our beautiful emerald green eyes lol! I'm pushing it every night and enjoying every second! To my fellow Forsaken fight on!! ARRRRRGHH!!

As a fellow Forsaken, silence really is golden... and since when do zombies use the internet???

All you mere mortals, come visit us in the Forsaken, if you dare. Our eyes penetrate your being and we'll eat your souls!

The Forsaken

-Facade is AWESOME! Interesting choice to have it midway through, but I think it works. It's very different to have a massive room filled with actors. I also love the "storm" effect projected onto the Parade Building at night...

-Right from the start the atmosphere is incredible. The water effects are awesome, awesome, awesome.

-Costumes here are great. Could've used a couple more Spaniards, but I guess it's pretty clear from the abundant gore () that the Forsaken won the fight.

-I know some people (including a few of the actors) don't like the glowing eyes... after experiencing the house, I disagree. They're creepy as f*ck and simply mean you have to work a little harder for your scares... which most of you do. Goddamnit, they're seriously so creepy.

-There's some very brilliant scenes to be found here. I love the Cathedral in particular, the projection effect is unsettling and the Forsaken get some good scares. This is a very well-populated maze. The sideways room? Just, wow! Never would've expected this but I'm so glad it's there... really allows for some cool scares since your focus is on keeping your balance. Also ties in very nicely to everyone's favorite Take a Chance game!

-Sets in general are a big win... very expansive, tons of details. Again, I love the Cathedral, but also the bed scene early on before you hit the big facade.

-As I mentioned before, the gore here really sells the story and makes it clear how much of a threat The Forsaken are to you. Love it.

-Finale here is very cool... it doesn't necessarily feel like a finale since it's technically a hallway, but the talent of the scare actors here make it a great finale IMO. The bungee actor w/ fog is a crazy effect (and it wouldn't work without those EYES!), and the two Forsaken in the booholes are here are some of the best actors of the event this year, no lie. Every single one of my runs they'd get us multiple times.

Suggestions for Improvement: Don't tone down the eyes! If ANYTHING, make the e-prompts activate them, but even then I think it's unnecessary. You guys are finding your groove on how to use the eyes to your advantage. Take the challenge, you can do it! Make sure the house is well-staffed... in 90% of the rooms everything's A-OK, but I've noticed sometimes in the courtyard they're down a Forsaken or two. This scene works most effectively when it's crawling with the damn things.

When I first did Forsaken I thought this was one of the weaker houses. However, my experience did improve significantly between my run Friday night and my Sunday Night run. It's still not one f my favorites, but since it was later in evening on my second run, I was able to see the sets in greater detail, which helped a bit. I'm still not a fan of the costumes, but they actors seemed to be putting up a better effort on Sunday than on Friday. On the subject of roofs, I'd just like to say that I'd really never given the subject much thought until I saw about two pages devoted to discussing them. Probably because when I go through a house I tend to look at anything but the ceiling.

Fun Fact: Just before I went in last night, I saw a woman and her friend run back out the entrance. One of them seemed to be having a panic attack. :)

The scareactors now will cover their eyes to do some tricky/creative scares. One particular scareactor with a knife jammed in his right eye got me good the other night by hiding in the corner, and covering his one "good" eye until wanting to pop out and scare the bejeebus out of me.

If it was a Forsaken flashing the V sign in the chapel it was probably me ^_^

Yay, I saw you last night then :D. I went through with my girlfriend really close to closing time. I think I "V'd" you back. I had so many (totally awesome) encounters with vaulters last night that I can't remember who I was able to gesture back to and who I had to scuttle away from. I usually do a V back, or I salute...but I don't salute nearly as often anymore, because I don't want to accidentally do it in Nightingales...that'd just feel wrong.

Also, something I forgot to add, I LOVE the Spanish speaking scareactors around the beginning of the house...they will get in your face, and scream at you in Spanish...for those of us who don't know a word of the language, it is truly harrowing. My girlfriend about crapped her pants during our final runthrough of the house. It reminded me of my instructors from boot camp...except you could sorta understand them if you were paying attention lol.

I feel bad for the ghouls who work in here. When I was standing in line for one of the houses (Either Forsaken or In between, I can't remember which) I saw the cast leaving for a shift change. A few of them looked pretty disoriented, and the cast member escorting them specifically told a couple of guests trying to get a photo op to leave them alone, as they were having a hard enough time seeing as it was.

For me, the house started off slowly but built to a great finale.

The green eyes didn't ruin anything. In fact, the eyes really help with misdirection in the courtyard scene.

The slanted ship walkway and rigged actor finale really bumps this house up from slightly below-average to one of the best at HHN this year. Those last two scenes really give the actors the chance to team up on the guests and they take full advantage of it.

I will however agree with the sentiment that the house feels pretty short. Is this house a home-run? No, but it is a solid double with the runner heading for third. Any improvements to the first half or so of the house would really help, IMO.

My vote for the best house, no question! You Foresaken have me going! Went through twice, loved every effing second of this house! I know it's been mentioned about the eyes, and I partially agree. Out of all the houses I've been through in 14 years, this would easily be my favorite I've been in if the actors could turn their eyes on and off easily without being a nuisance for them. HOWEVER, you guys make that shit work, regardless! And I just have to say, in the Cathedral, whoever is standing completely still in the wind, center of the room is A-MAZING! So damn still, the second time through after being scared shitless the first time, I completely forgot to watch out for them, and they were so still, I didn't give it a second thought, and they got me just as bad. And the sideways floor? What can I say that hasn't already been said? Fucking EPIC house! Keep it up!!!

So there is a scare with a guy with a Bungee cord that comes at you in a window but of all the times I've been to this house I don't ever recall seeing it I always hear it done to someone behind me or in front, I guess it takes a while to set up? <_<

Props to the actors in the slanted floor scene.

Last Friday, around 7:30ish, you guys were on point and probably the most aggressive I have seen in this section of the house out of the 6 times I've been through.

The Forsaken on the right at the beginning of this scene was literally swinging back and forth, getting in our faces multiple times as we passed through, which was mucho apprecitated :)

I finally saw it the last time I went through - completely fabulous. You may have to go through again and again and again - but then this is a really great house to do that in!! :D
