  1. So when the scareactor pops out of the boo-hole instead of some drunken asshole taking a shot at him, you have a wasted dude going " what? wait, like you were totally not there before... oh wow. That's awesome, it's like being there and not being there at the same time. whoa." and holds up the conga-line for an additional 15 minutes.

Then there's the ones who will just giggle.

And the ones who will try to eat any prop food in the scene.

That actually doesn't sound as bad. now if only Universal could open up a stand to capitalize on it.

  2. Why isn't the caretaker in the flames?? Or is he??

I'm definitely one Icon short, though because of the somewhat ambiguous nature of the images, I can't say who. Most likely, all six of them do appear in flame, and I'm just missing the last picture. But the point remains the same: The former Icons were deliberately hidden for us to find, which means they'll most likely be making appearances this year.

EDIT: Now that I take a moment to think about it, the large flame is probably him, and the missing Icon is Bloody Mary, since Universal no longer holds the license to that character.

  3. My morning just started off pretty shitty. Got my radar detector in the mail and it's been torn open and taped up and the fucking mounting bracket and suction cups are missing.

    That does sound pretty shitty.

  4. I think Plaza might have been an old name before being changed to Palace during the making of the event, and the picture of the Usher is an old media shot.

That seems likely, and the tickets that surfaced on ebay were either used in media shots, or were early versions of the tickets for the media gifts, or the tickets meant to be handed out to guests.

And yes, I bought the glasses. For $3, I think they'd be a nice little what have you.

  5. Back in April a week or so after the Vault first became inaccessible, but long before we realized how bad the problem was I posted a video at YouTube called Missing the Vault I Go Bonkers.

In the past few days this video's viewership has spiked dramatically. Apparently it has been linked to "similar" videos at YouTube of people spouting off their "Random Thoughts" on various matters and so now many people who have no connection to the Halloween Horror Nights fan community are watching it.

So there have now been many comments by puzzled people who say "WTF!?!" or suggest that I am a nutjob. One person in Finland of all places suggested that YouTube should require an I.Q. test before they allow anyone to post - so that "idiots" won't be let in!

I find this all highly amusing. Obviously they haven't bothered to look at my other posts so that they can understand what I am talking about. Although if they did, what ever would they make of BOB?

I think this would be a great addition to Youtube's services.

  6. I have a bit of an unpopular opinion on this subject, and let me just preface this by saying I don't mean to offend anyone.

If it were up to me, I'd eliminate the alcohol so everyone is guaranteed a good, safer experience with less damage being wrought to the expertly crafted sets. But, it's a huge moneymaker, and many actually do handle themselves well after a few drinks, so that'll never be a reality.

Without alcohol sales, HHN would be massively less profitable, to the point where it would likely not be good business for Universal to stage it every year. Therefore, I accept the sale of alcohol as without it, there very well may not be an HHN to enjoy.

As for me, I've never had a drink at HHN, but if I had to guess, a few drinks would probably make the mazes significantly scarier for me. I'm one of those people who can't help but try to anticipate where the actors are going to come from. It's like some weird game I play with Universal, to see if I can outwit their designers and actors, and for some reason I can't just stop. So, I reason that being buzzed would reduce my ability to foresee where actors are going to come from, and make it easier to get scared.
