  1. Almost started a new topic about this XD Gotta say, LOVE the scareactors that see the vault/HNN shirts and instead of doing a shout out.....have a little plan. Note, this only happened to me twice. Most memorable was in 20 years of fear, I saw the wolfman approaching me...then he turns toward a female walking to the back of me, and acts like he's about to walk by me, then all of a sudden, the attack! I about crapped my pants, I was here about to turn around to watch him get this chick, and he suddenly changes his course to growl at me. Other time was when two chainsaw wielding maniacs in Saws n Steam where apparently going after two separate victims, with chains off...then both cranked 'em up and lunged for me...and I had people behind me, so I had nowhere to go! Twas epic. If there was a third behind me, then I think I very well may have crapped myself haha. To those of you scareactors who haven't thought of this, please do...fake us out. It'll add even more flair to the scare, I love it when it happens to me because I have no way to tell if the scareactor is a vaulter/HHN'er (is there a friggin easy term to call people on this site? Lol) trying to get me, or just another scareactor about to get an easier target.
  2. Loved the atmosphere, but yeah not too scary. Maybe it'll be better when I go again Thursday. I think I was walking through during a shift change or something, when two long lines were exiting from each end....the one heading towards Legendary Truth/PS/all that stuff had a female that made a heart out of her hands to me. Awesome! I was wearing a vault shirt, so thanks to that female if she reads these boards hehe....Usually I salute scareactors that shout me out, or give them a thumbs up, but this one actually had me stunned...next time I'll try and return it. Then as I was walking out of the zone with the second line, one of the females (you females are crazy!) looked out of the corner of her eye at me, then kept walking in the line for a minute....weird I thought....then she immediately stopped, turned around, and hissed directly into my face. Then back into the line. Awesome. Got me real good. Last memorable moment from the zone was right after the previous events, I was hitting up the 20 years of fear zone, and apparently one of the male scareactors recognized his friend in the crowd...broke out of the line that the scareactors were in, ran up to him, started screaming something, and did what seemed to be a little jig....possible posed for a picture, and then ran back to the line. This all happened over the course of like 20 seconds so I wasn't completely sure what was going on lol....still awesome to see though.
  3. I recorded and posted a video on Youtube of the roaming drill team...doesn't give them 100% justice, but I think it's a neat little clip. It was filmed opening night, right after the gates let in the mainstream folk.
  4. He is in Fear Revealed as well, at least he was on opening night....I think I saw him when I went this past Thursday, but I'm unsure. The photobooth thing he's at now is across the bridge from The Simpson's Ride, pretty much next to The Orfanage. I never knew about it until this past Thursday, and Jack got my friend in the above allegory XD.
  5. I think he sold out way before this. He stopped scaring me in like....oh, I dunno '04 or '05 when he had the maze. Though the photo guy is great, and provides nice moments.... I brought a friend with me a few nights ago, and we were sitting on a park bench near the photo booth. Jack was done, and was getting escorted backstage....well, he had to walk by us. And my friend is very very afraid of clowns. So she hides her face, and starts saying "Andrew, I hope he doesn't walk this way, oh God Andrew, he's coming this way, oh my god!" and carrying on...as he was approaching, I grinned, and said "Hey, Jack! How's it going?" he looked at me, looked at her, and smiled....got right in her face, and said in the classic gravelly clown voice, "What's the matter? Are you afraid of clowns?" my friend kinda squeals and keeps her face covered....."Why be afraid of us, HUH?! We're so frickin' happy!" then she peeks an eye out, and he glares her down....and walks away. "Thanks Jack! Have a good night!" I shouted after him. I got punched for that one....hahaha.
  6. I hit the one in PS, and it didn't seem like anything happened...should I have held it for longer? Heh. And definitely hit the one in Havoc and didn't see anything happen from it either.
  7. I was in line for catacombs when a shift change happened on opening night. I was probably 15 minutes from going in. I tried to get the line clapping for all of the great scareactors, but they all just looked at me like I was stupid. I remember saying something to the extent of "Wow, you guys sure are respectful" dripping with sarcasm. Our boys do a great job, but it seems as if nobody is thankful for it. I got to see the Hallow'd Past guys and old birdies leave, then all of the new birdies come in most of them holding their prisoners XD. We actually had to split the line so they could walk through us, as the staff member yelled for us to not take pictures. Was kinda cool, I always enjoy seeing shift changes.
  8. I thought that I saw one in Zombiegeddon too, though I may have confused it with Havoc/PS. I was going to press it, but then remembered that Uni hates people touching their props, so I didn't do it lol...guess I should have.
  9. That's a better route. My route is probably what made me have to rush...especially since they closed Zombiegeddon for a while for some reason or another, my flow was thrown way off. Anyhow, it's all about variables, but it's very doable. Just remember that the crowd is walking too slow always, and if you have to bump a few people to get around 'em....usually these are people that you'll never see again XD.
  10. If you are the type who walks fast and doesn't slow down for anything but lines, then maybe. Hit the farthest houses first, Havoc/Orfanage (I suggest Orfanage first as it seemed to get a long line fast opening night) then slowly progress to the front of the park. Zombiegeddon next, then Hades was what I did. Catacombs/Hallow'd Past didn't seem to have too bad of a wait opening night, which may be a sign for future wait times, but you never know. Hades, Psychoscareapy, and Zombiegeddon all had fairly long waits but not so bad. Just walk fast, and try ot make all of the houses by the last Bill and Ted show...trust me, save it for last, that way in case you didn't get all of the houses done you can skip it. If the show ends early (it did with me, although it may change) say about 5-10 minutes or so before the park closes, you may be able to power walk to one last house. That's what I did. I hit all houses but psychoscareapy, then went to the last Bill and Teds, then powerwalked like mad to Psychoscareapy and made it in just in time. All I missed was Brian Brushwood. This was also mixed in with stopping to chat with a few people, horrid rain that held up a few lines, and a very very very quick ride on the Mummy (0 minute wait for single rider ).
  11. I've been on HHN forums since '02 and never got too acquainted with the workers XD. Maybe it'll be easier this time around. I just know that it'd be a great experience for me to add to the horror, and if I do have some friends along with me, it'd provide some great pucker factor for them.
  12. I remember last year, a few Vaulters were great friends with scareactors, and occasionally one would witness a "killing" or "sacrifice" or something of a vaulter, or a friend, or something. Hell, just last night (opening night) they had some guy on his knees at the 20 years of fear scarezone, and they "executed" him with a chainsaw. It obviously was a friend, because he was just laughing the whole way, and got up immediately after...but still pretty neat. Just something out there, that was really entertaining. I've always wanted to be a part of that, but I don't know any scareactors, and I've never seen anyone try to put together something like that. Yeah, I know that it's very unlikely, and that the scareactors risk losing their jobs if it's the wrong person...but I figure that all I can do is ask, and the worst that you guys can say is "no" XD. If it is doable, maybe they can go by facial recognition from the forums, or have something planned ahead in the thread, or something. If this has been posted before, oops, my bad.
  13. !!!WARNING, SPOILERS ABOUND. YE HAVE BEEN WARNED. NO, REALLY, SERIOUS SPOILERS, IF YOU WANT A REVIEW WITHOUT SPOILERS, YOU AREN'T GETTING IT FROM ME.!!! This year just seemed really off. Usually I love them to death, but it felt like it was just a bunch of whining about how horrible the movies were this year...every time something potentially awesome was going to happen, it didn't. It did have its moments though, and in my opinion was worth watching once. Maybe it'll get better as the even progresses. I certainly hope so. This is my first opening night, so I'm sure that it's probably like this every year. The few funny jokes they did have though were quite funny. And Woody from Toy Story, who I was totally expecting to see, was awesome...I think he was wearing a Meetz Meats mask lol. What killed it was the crappy villain (a producer or something at first, and then it turns out to REALLY be...dun dun dunnnn....Dr. Evil from Austin Powers. Not even a titter from the audience when it turned out to be him). Jersey shore characters were funny...Snooki kept getting punched....and my all time favorite was The Count. The beginning with the "Bed Intruder" song was just pure epicness. After that though it was downhill. I think that the acting was on, but the plot and story...ehhhh. Not to mention the usual "break into dance" thing at the end was either a failed attempt at a mashup, or the singers were really singing and they were playing the wrong music in the background or...something. I dunno. Not only that but it was quite quiet compared to previous years, and just didn't have that usual bit of oomph to it. I really hope that it gets better, and that this is just usual first night stuff.
