I dont think the website has been this bad since HHN13. Whats the deal here?!? Hollywood's website is better at this point. This is quite a shame. I guess we can hope for games but man they have really done quite a 180 from the quality we've seen the last 9 years...

Yea this is true. There were budget increases as well as technological advancements! Obviously the game has changed a lot since those years and the commercials have not been cheap, cheesy and campy like they were in past. So I will retract my statement and say this year's commercial is the worst post HHNX (because I still think the 2000 and 2001 commercials are better than this one, even though they aren't scary they certainly are a whole lot more entertaining). You also have to consider the impact that these commercials had at the time they were released. 2000 was the first year we were introduced to jack and it really got me excited for HHN. I should also mention the 01 commercial was also edited because of the toned down year so who knows what could have been. This year can be confusing for those who don't know the background of the lantern and where FEAR came from. Like it was mentioned before, the fear revealed video could have made for a far better commercial (albeit shortened up). I am not knocking the directing or style of the commercial but more the content that is shown.

I agree that this commercial isn't very good. In my opinion it is worst yet. The commercials don't have to be long to be good. Whatever happen to these awesome creepy commercials: I can see why the commercial wasn't like the past years where the icon(s) is/are loud and in your face (HHN 18, 17, 16 and 15) but they could have taken a similar approach to the director/caretaker commercials which used the black and white and creepy tones to set the atmosphere. They could have used this approach to have the audience hear FEAR but not show much of him (until the event). IMOH, this year's commercial is epic fail! Either way the event is looking to be great! It reminds me of HHN14, all original content, but not quite like Terra Cruentas which was a world of its own. I am glad they have returned to creating rather than just reusing old properties.

They also did it in Friday the 13th in 2007. Jason straight up grabbed some girl 3 or 4 people ahead and me and took her away. It was pretty awesome.

Don't know if this has been mentioned but Universal posted a video on facebook that claims HHNXX will be revealed on August 26th. I can only assume that will be the full website update!

Am I crazy or did the music change as well?? Its the same song that was used for the HHN16 archives.
