  1. It’s a weird year for sure. The event was downgraded massively in 2020 for obvious reasons, and made a grand return last year. I’m guessing most aren’t impressed because they wanted certain IP’s like the fourth season of Stranger Things (which I do think it’ll come back next year along with the fifth), and certain Slasher classics that either didn’t came back regularly as Halloween and Texas Chainsaw Massacre like Nightmare on Elm Street and Saw or never had a chance to be at the event at all like Candyman and Scream. If it’s four IP’s per year as a new trend, then we might heading back to the originals in the future sort of like the old days with the inclusion of the icons, unless they have any backups. Both old and new. Universal have a long and great success during it’s early years at the Orlando parks with HHN that stood everything out before the IP’s officially came to the event. Seems like there are less to work with. Disney ridiculously owns so much and with the recent inclusion of Fox, they’re not gonna let their biggest theme park competitor to bring in anything for HHN like American Horror Story. WB owns a lot of great horror properties that we had gotten, but they’re hard to negotiate too, unless that changes next year by bringing back the Exorcist as a 50th anniversary celebration with a new scene or two to promote the upcoming sequel trilogy.
  2. Does anyone remember the Coven scarezone from 2010? It was based on a coven of witches seeking revenge on the people who burned the Salem witches at the stake, which is what the rumored Witch house makes me think of. I’m expecting to see the return of it as a house with a supernatural spin.
  3. As someone who loves HHN like you and have my own collective taste in music, this is a very well and beautifully done rant that made me shed a tear and smile. The heavy use of gatekeeping caused a negative impact in rock and metal so horribly that it’s everywhere unlike pop, R&B, country and Rap/Hip-Hop. The reason the cliché “Rock Is Dead” statement is so overused for years is because of the labels, the media, the current state of commercial radio; the dividedness over politics, values, and class, and the snobby douchebag fans themselves who don’t know how to behave and be politically neutral - NOT the bands.
  4. American Dad episodes referenced to the houses. The Witches of Langley is Spirits of the Coven, Man In The Moonbouce is the Prison (Hellgate?), Adventures In Haleysitting is Halloween, Stanny Get Your Gun is Fiesta De Chupacabras, Dancin’ A-With My Cell is Dead Man’s Wharf, Bullocks To Stan/ Rough Trade is Blumhouse, Windowmaker is Bugs Eaten Alive, Game Night is Descendants of Destruction, A Starboy Is Born is The Weeknd, and Mine Struggle/Poltergasm/Fianeces With Wolves is Legends Collide. Putting all the puzzle pieces together.
  5. Well, that was quick. Thanks guys for the request!
  6. As of now, I’m hoping for HNN to update the Speculation Map for just one more time before a full dump reveal. Here something I could say regarding The Weeknd: Some people view pop music as reductive and artless, which Is an old take as the genre itself. When was the last time we had a lot of names in rock music that were everywhere such as the FM radio, television, and music magazines? Pretty much the 2000’s, but none of them will never be on par with The Weeknd or even outsell him commercially, unless you’re Linkin Park or Coldplay. The Weeknd is one of the current faces of youth in music, and let’s not forget about the music video of Michael Jackson’s Thriller who should get his own house as a tribute to him. I think he was the kind of surprise that would make you stroke your chin at first, and later realize that he makes more sense than you think if you watch his music videos from After Hours. Will they admit they’re wrong? Probably not, but maybe the best among us do. With that said, all the naysaying on all the Twitters and Facebooks are posting for public embarrassments and moral punishments, and these types of behaviors to me are disappointing. If his house turns out to be good and well received critically as the catalyst, then we should be getting more music houses once per year for each act. Can you imagine if we get Slipknot, MJ, Iron Maiden, and Lady Gaga while thanking The Weeknd a few years from now?
  7. Gonna avoid the leak, so I can keep speculating until everything is officially announce.
  8. What I’m expecting this month other than The Weeknd being dropped this month is also potentially the Frequent Fear too before a full dump of original houses, scarezones, and shows in the next week or two on August. They could do it on August 2nd, which is 31 days away from opening night as a pun. Halloween is on the 31st, and this will be the 31st HHN year at Orlando.
  9. Looks a lot like it was inspired by a media sensation called the Highgate Vampire where it was claimed to have a “Supernatural Activity” at the Highgate cemetery in London during the 70’s.
  10. So, it seems like the next house announcement won’t happen this weekend with a pun.
  11. Anyone finds it weird how the scarezone constructions are happening now at the Studios when the next IP house still has yet to be announce? The delay is making my head scratch.
  12. Wanna revisit the house bounce clue. Does anyone on this site followed Legacy’s American Dad clues? I want you guys to watch an episode from the fifth season of that show called “Man In The Moonbounce.” It has the Smiths having fun in a house bounce for Steve’s birthday that made Stan feel like a kid again, and later threw toilet paper all over a bully’s house, which Stan got arrested for and went to prison, turning himself into a man child. He gets in trouble with a warden, attempts to pull a prank on him with help of the other inmates, decides not to, and was finally released after his stay in jail. Sounds a lot like Hellgate. We had one room from that house in (S)cary last year as the closing scene and it seems weird to bring it back as a sequel right now, but It’s my shot in a dark kind of guess.
  13. Mark didn’t made this thread instantly after last year’s event; just months later. Also you had a lot of HNN forumers speculating and chatting elsewhere like Discord, Inside Universal, Facebook, and Twitter.
  14. Another Easter Egg was dropped at the Tribute Store! As much I’m getting the 09 vibes with the Usher, they’re all starting to look more like previews with Legends Collide. If there’s some sort of backstory for it, then it’s starting to make sense now.
  15. Hey, I’d be down for a house bounce with scareactors lol. But jokes aside, I’ll look at the clue in one angle or two. The background has a western-looking shack, which instantly made me think of Ghost Town. Maybe it’ll fill in for Evil Dead as a last-minute replacement. A traditional themed Halloween scarezone is also rumored, and I’m still hoping for the Pumpkin Lord to make some sort of return over there.
  16. Hmmm… Sounds like the Bug house that rumored is a like a crossover of both like Legacy was hinting on Twitter.
  17. Looks like the whole stage for the tour is a complete post-apocalyptic theme, is that the approach The Weeknd is going with for the event?
  18. It’s possible we may get only four IP houses again like last year, and we shouldn’t be surprised at all about it. Insiders have been saying for sometime that a replacement for Evil Dead will likely be an original concept in a matter of time. We’re about less than two months from the beginning of HHN, and less than a month from rehearsals. They must’ve lost it a few weeks ago, which gives them a couple of months or less to change over the house. If the marketing team/A&D doesn’t think there’s an IP worth losing two or three weeks of negotiations to procure, then it should be worth the time to retheme it into an original concept. Nope is a Universal property, so if that comes to the event, then they’ve already built the relationships to have it included from the start than a last minute replacement. I may not to be an insider, but I do know it takes time negotiate for IP houses. Even the Universal Parks has to get approval from the Universal film division on using the Monsters and Chucky.
  19. Here’s something I wanna ask y’all: If Evil Dead does not return in some form again this year, then how would you guys feel if they went with Nope instead? If that turns out to be true, then It should get a release calendar, so Jordan Peele could plan on including whatever he has coming out that season yearly to save the event’s creative team members some headaches or extra work. A last minute replacement isn’t too far off right now.
  20. I think next Friday is when they could make the next house announcement with The Weeknd, which would work for him while promoting on both coasts for his next tour as the headliner of this year’s event at both Hollywood and Orlando. Get ready for the social media backlash.
  21. Another Easter Egg was recently added at the Tribute Store that is possibly as reference to Cruse of Dracula based on the dates mentioned. 1885 was the year Harker traveled to Dracula in the 1958 Christopher Lee version, and it sounds like he purchased a theater too. 1979 is the Frank Langella version, and 82 is the Vincent Price version respectively.
  22. Yeah, It seems like they wanna set up with a pun, and I’m expecting it to be announce next month.
  23. It’s kinda weird that we’re not getting another Chucky house this year. There were a lot of talks about it as a rumor cause the TV series is getting a second season, it’s a Universal property, and we also had a Chucky photo-op last year. Now, it’s been discontinued unless it’s a last minute replacement for Evil Dead or comes back next year.
  24. Am I the only one who wants Vince Vaughn to reprise his role as Blissfield Butcher in one of the Freaky scenes at Blumhouse for just one night during event? Orlando would make a promo video out of it for their YouTube channel.
