  1. On the HHN website i'm sure some of you have noticed that when the flames escape through the lantern the flames with the faces in them are all coming through the images hidden in the lantern. For example The Caretakers Pocketwatch, Jack's face and The Storytellers Glasses...So each escaping flame is coming through an image that is hidden in the lantern...

  2. I work at a hospital and the gargage door with the van kinda reminds of the ambulance entrance at the hospital. Any chance that they are turning that van into an ambulance? If people are saying that it looks like a mental asylum well how about a hospital? Any chance of that?

They used an ambulance before in the Psychoscareapy Home for the Holidays house back at HHN 17. (Mental Asylum, Hospital) With HHN anything is possible...:D

  3. I understand everyones responses about just having a few drinks to better enjoy themselves at HHN. To me that's all well and good. It's just the ones who go above and beyond their normal means and get absolutey trashed at the event is what I can't quite yet fathom. I mean why spend the money on a ticket to go to HHN if all your going to do is get drunk...

  4. With HHN it's pretty much a hit or miss scenario. I myself have gone to HHN on a sunday and there was hardly anybody there and the wait times for the houses was only 10 minutes. But the following sunday was so busy the wait times were like an hour. Last year when I went on a sunday, I walked through silver screams and the spawning all by myself. It was pretty awesome. So my suggestion would be to go on non peak nights Sunday through Thursday if you can. If not establish a game plan. Get there as early as possible or do the stay and scream. With the stay and scream you will be able to do 2 or 3 houses with virtually no wait before they let in the outside crowds. Also try doing some houses when people are seeing the Bill and Ted or Rocky Horror Picture Show. You might get lucky with some wait times then...Hope this helps and have fun...

  5. Is it really necessary to drink alcohal at Halloween Horror Nights in order for you to have fun???

Not for me. Believe it or not I don't drink alcohal. I just don't see the point in getting drunk just so you can have a good time. Now I understand that selling alcohal at HHN is a big money maker for them but do they have to have an alcohal or beer cart every 10 feet that you walk??? For me halloween horror nights is a blast without having to get drunk. Tell why or why not you do or don't drink alcohal at HHN.

  6. Love the sarcasm, and I don't feel it is necessary but I do think is dissuades people from bringing weapons into the park. Sure there are ways around the metal detector (which I won't get into here) but when people know they're going to be screened they usually leave weapons at home.

I agree. I think that they are there for more of a scare tactic. Last year when I went with my sister I had to wait outside with her because she didn't have a daytime park ticket. I usually do the stay and scream because i'm an annual passholder. Anyways when we went through the detectors one officer told me that the chain for my wallet had to come off because I wasn't allowed to bring it in the park. Really a wallet chain...?

  7. I'm thinking this is the best place to ask this. The first weekend of HHN, is it open til 12:00 or 2:00? I know normally Friday and Saturday are until 2:00, but I wasn't sure if they treat the opening weekend differently.

If you check out the halloween horror nights website in the FAQ section under the when is halloween horror nights it says that opening weekend hours are 6:30 to midnight. September 24th,25th and 30th are 6:30 pm-12 am

  8. Well I wanted to say I am also new to the boards from the vault (don't know whats going on with it) but I see a lot of vaulters who have transfered as well :).

I love how all we see is a random van, Uni knows exactly how to tease us and keep us guessing because I have no clue what it is for... kinda reminds me of the Shady Brook asylum van, anyone else think so?

Wasn't there a crashed van or an ambulance that was used in the Psychoscareapy Home for the Holidays house back in 2007. Maybe this is the same prop...?

  9. Question from another HHNO virgin- My party (two people) has Stay and Scream for sunday, Oct. 3rd, which the HHN site claimed was a "non-peak night"; would an Express Pass be a wise investment? Or would the early entry get us through enough houses that we could potentially save enough time that we wouldn't have to wait long for the other houses?

We're going through USO during the day, so all rides/attractions with no solid relation to HHN should be logged already; I'm hoping that this will allow the whole night to be spent for the houses/ scarezone enjoying and photographing.

I get the FFP when I go to HHN. I'm also an annual passholder so I do the stay and scream as well. I go just about every non peak night that they have it on including sundays. I have never once purchased an express pass and I still see everything in one night. There has not been a single time where I have not been able to see everything in one night. The advantage for the stay and scream is that you get to go through certain houses first so by the time they start letting in the outside crowds you can easily see 2 or 3 houses with virtualy no wait. So in my opinon I wouldn't get an express because I think you won't have any problems seeing everything in one night.

  10. The first weekend, "opening weekend," is not that busy. Actually, express is not a necessity on any night of HHN, I can always do everything in one night if I really want to (and usually do). For the next weekend, I'm not sure because I only go on FFP nights, but I know that Thurs/Sun would not be as busy as later in the event. Basically, the earlier you go, the less busier it will be.

100% agree. I have never purchased an express pass before and 9 times out of 10 I still see everything in one night. All the houses, scarezones, and the B%T show. FairyCorpse is right, I've gone opening week since 2002 and as long as you get there early you will see everything. And for the rest of the days getting a FFP is the way to go. I have bought a FFP for the last 5 years and I couldn't fathom going to HHN without one. Last year the longest I had to wait for a house was SAW and it was only 35 minutes on a non peak night.
