Nice review Cody. Really makes me look forward to going back to HHN again next week...

-
so, if anybody thinks that HHN isn't busy or they're losing attendance... please come over to my house so I may kick you in the shin.
Hopefully it's not like that on the 20th...

Hi guys, a little request. I have just got back to the UK from an awesome time at HHN XX and after searching high and low for the Fear Pin I was unable to get one. I asked at multiple locations but couldn't obtain one anywhere. I was told they had sold out a long time ago but it looks like I wasn't told the truth. If anyone has a spare or wouldn't mind picking one up to send to me I would really appreciate it. Of course I would pay you for your troubles and the pin............
There are a couple of FEAR pins for sale on ebay...

While waiting in line to see the guys fro Ghost Hunters I met a very nice couple. They told me that when we got up there they would take my picture with Dave and Steve and then they would send it to me in my email. It's been over a week now and still no picture. The only info I have on her is that she is a short girl maybe like 5/2 with shoulder length hair and that she works in the counseling department at UCF. I know not much to go on. By no means am I upset I just really wanted that pic of me and the Ghost Hunter guys...
Finally got the pic...

Thanks for writing this up!
I do the same thing with the fog. I love how it smells and it immediately transports me back to HHN

I also agree about Catacombs. I loved the sets and theming but 75% of the scareactors seemed to be plague doctors and all looked exactly the same. Plus- even if it's "historically accurate" they still look like Spy vs. Spy and it's just laughable for most casual attendees.
And don't let internet trolls get you down. Some people have nothing better to do than go online and flame complete strangers from the safety of their keyboards. It's ridiculous. Eff 'em!
Appreciate it...Thank's...

This past Thursday at HHN I was waiting in line for Catacombs and there was a guy smoking in line. A staff member must have told him 3 or 4 times to put it out before he actually did so. I was going to tell the guy myself if he didn't stop. I have asthma and I can't stand smoking...

Cleaned up the argument out of here. If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all. Thanks guys. Very nice review, Dan!

Thank's man. I was hoping one of you guys would do this for me...

-
hahahahaha! that's right, "don't like it, don't read it". thanks for the review!
No problem my friend. I'm glad that there are some people on here that enjoyed it. It's really sad that there are people out there that just don't appreciate what other people do. Oh well, You know like they say on T2-3D it only takes a couple of sad and truly warped individuals to ruin it for everyone...

I seriously need to get my FFP and go more often. This year is really a blast with very minor exceptions. FEAR isn't used enough, but everyone else is used plenty to make up for it.
So speaking of being a blast, I was recently invited to Boo Camp at HHN and was allowed to be a Scareactor for a night. It was too much friggin fun. To see all of my pictures, and videos, click here.
You are one lucky man Erik. Hope you had a blast...

I just got back from enjoying this awesome event two nights in a row and I will do a full review as soon as I can but I had one BIG problem with the event:
*Note: I'm not sure if this should go in the alcohol at HHN thread or not, but since this is a rant thread, I'll write it here:
This is supposed to be the nation's premiere Halloween event, yet they don't sell any regular energy drinks. I was feeling kinda worn out in the evening since I spent the day at Islands so I asked where I could buy Full Throttle or something to keep me up. I was pointed to one of those bar stands and it said, "Full Throttle" on it. My first thought was "Yes! They sell energy drinks here!" When I asked for one, they asked for my ID and said they only sell alcoholic energy drinks. WTC!? Alcoholic Monster drinks! Really? Coming from the Hollywood event, I'm used to them selling energy plain ol' energy drinks every five feet you see. I really don't see why it's so cotton pickin' hard for them to just sell plain ol' Full Throttles and Monsters. I mean, why would people want to be energized and be drunk at the same time? Don't they realize some people just need energy without being drunk?
Now let's get to the alcohol itself. That really disrupted the event for me with all of those drunks around. I rode the Jaws ride since I thought it would be cool to ride at night, and some guy in the row behind me (Who I saw finish up his whopping can of beer in the line) was yelling, "It's Jaws! I told you it was him!" The whole time.
I had another unpleasant experience with a couple of drunkards behind me while in the hour-long line for the Orfanage. This guy behind me with his beer was cussing his head off and complaining about how long the line was. Then he and his girlfriend started singing loudly, then make out, then bicker at each other, and bump into me the whole time we were moving in line. Reading my rant about the alcohol and the lack of energy drinks makes me more thankful that I live close to Hollywood.

They do sell just regular energy drinks. They sell Monsters for $6.00 at the Men in Black store over by Havoc...

I waited in line to see the guys from Ghost Hunters for over 40 minutes. Then while waiting in line a staff member comes over and says sorry but the first autograph session is over and the next one is at 9:30 so I had to wait another hour and 30 minutes on top of already waiting 40 minutes if I wanted to meet them. But it was still worth it...
-
Still plenty of Fear and Lantern pins at the universal studios store from what I saw yesterday. But the lady at the counter said that they were sold out of the AP pins. Good thing I bought mine on opening night...

-
Awesome Wolfman pic...
-
I saw a bunch lantern pins but I only saw the FEAR pins a couple times. Has anyone ever seen the FEAR pins in any of the Uni stores? I don't want to buy them at a cart.
I purchased my FEAR pin at the Universal Studios Store when I went opening weekend. I'm going back to HHN tomorrow and I will let you know if I see them there...
-
Anyone going to the autograph session for the guys from Ghost Hunters this Thursday...??? Do you have to bring something for them to sign or will they have something there...??? Anyone know...???
-
Yes, but were just letting those know that have a HNN shirt to wear it that night.
Sweet...Count me in...

-
Life; made easier!
I was eventually going to revise my review but you beat me to the punch. Thank's...

-
Ugh, yes, but I understand the confusion-we are close together, with similar names.
TNA, 20 Years of Fear is in the prop warehouse, on Hollywood Blvd, and has characters from past years, such as Wolfman, Pumpkinhead, Crypt Keeper, etc. Fear Revealed in by Mel's, has all the icons, the big XXs, and Fear himself.
Fear speaks? I had no idea! I don't get a chance to get that close to him.
My bad...

-
What if you don't have an HNN shirt. Can you still be in the picture???
-
Thank you! That is very helpful

Anytime my friend...Hope you have great time at HHN XX. Any more questions don't hesitate to ask...

I'm flying out to Orlando on Monday, and I had a couple of questions. Note that this is my first HHN, so I'm sorry if I sound n00bish.

1. When is a good time to see Bill and Ted? I am probably going to do it just once. Does Express apply to this show (or Brian Brushwood)? How early should I get in line to get a decent seat?
2. This was probably answered somewhere and I just overlooked it, but exactly which houses are open for Stay and Scream? Does it really matter if you're in Kidzone or Finnegan's? I ask because I was planning on Finnegan's, so I could grab a bite to eat or some drinks before they let everyone out, but I've seen a few people recommend Kidzone.
Yes express pass applies but only to the first Bill and Ted show of the night. Get there at least 30 min before showtime if you want a good seat. I do the stay and scream every year as well and I always stay by the Finnegan's area. Only reason is they let you in the sound stage houses first and those tend to be the most popular at HHN. So you can pretty much do those houses with very little wait. Last year when they let the stay and scream people go in, The first house that was open was The Wolfman. I was the fourth person in line. It was like I had the entire house all to myself. It was awesome...

Hey since this is a Q & A topic, I would like to ask a question.
Can you or someone here in this forum can suggest to me what's the best house/scarezone route to take this year? I've notcied that some scarezones/houses rely ALOT on the skies being dark outside when you walk through. For example, Esqueleto Muerte, Zombie Gras, Fear Revealed, and also the tent houses. I've noticed they don't work or just as not effective during the day as it does at night and my group and I are coming early to the event (when the gates open), due to the fact we can't purchase express passes this year, and I don't want to disappoint them because for most of them, it is their first time attending this event. So, I just want them to have the best experience they can have and I don't want it to be ruined due to bad timing. So I'm asking for some advice. Anyone?

Start off with the sound stage houses first. Legendary Truth-Psychoscareapy-Hades. Since these houses are inside it won't matter if it's still light outside. Then I would hit Zombiegeddon. I would save The Orfanage-Havoc-Catacombs for when it gets dark outside because that will affect the houses a little. And remember when you head over to the Kidzone section of the park for Catacombs and Horror Nights Hallow'd Past. Make sure that you do Hallow'd past first because when you exit that house it will take you directly to the entrance to the Catacombs house. And the exit to Catacombs will take you to the entrance to Havoc. You can walk through all the scarezones as much as you want day or night but yes there are a few that are better seen at night. Esqueleto Muerte-Fear Reaveled. But the most important advice of all...Have Fun...

They should have a creepy girl crawl out of the well while waiting in the que line. Something like The Ring movies. I remember a girl running around that area screaming that Jason is coming back in 2007 when it was Friday the 13th Camp Blood. Something along those lines would be cool...
