Basic HHN is still better than most others do.

Had already canceled my plans to go so most of my disappointment is for those that were still hoping. You have my empathy. Would still love to see what was planned for this year. Odds are by next year somethings will change. Not sure how the licensing will work and if they will still get to use all or any IPs they originally had. Plus budget will play a huge part depending on what happens between now and then.

Haunting of Hill House. Hope they have a lot of hidden ghosts for us to find.

Mary really would be the best icon for this year. I was fortunate enough to go to 18 and the story and website was the best. Never felt more immersed because of all of the Easter eggs and references throughout the park. Anyway, Mary was all about two things: Fear and the past. To take us back through the mirror to look at our past would fit perfect for an anniversary year. Candy man would also make a lot of sense as he basically is a variation of Bloody Mary. Keough is for Francis Patrick Keough, he was the archbishop Of Baltimore that used the motto and crest. Not sure if there is any significance.

Since the movie is probably never gonna get made, could the Chiodo brothers work with Uni to get Return of the Killer Klowns from Outer Space in 3D as a maze next year instead. Combo IP and original maze.

Until Dawn would be awesome if they did a gimmick where the maze would branch off in different directions which would have different scenes so the experience can be different on multiple trips. As much as I love Resident Evil 7, playing it in VR is the most terrifying experience so it feels like going through a maze already. Dead Space would be my top pick for a video game adaptation. Interstellar Terror was an amazing scene maze and picturing that with creatures from Dead Space would be amazing Doom would be a great maze to use puppets For all the giant demons plus is a very well known IP An Evil Within maze actually was done by Warner Bros movie world in 2014 I think. Not saying Uni couldn’t do it better but still has already been done.

To make a very long complicated story short: HHN XV featured the Storyteller as the icon telling the story of Terra Cruentus and the Terra Queen who ruled over the land. She was like a sub-icon for the year. I believe part of the reason for this was Creative felt she was not very marketable and so created the storyteller. All the mazes were tied into a giant story that involved the forging of a blade that was used nightly to “sacrifice” a victim. The final night of XV the Terra Queen Sacrificed herself but basically made a “prophecy” she would return in 15 years ,eg HHN30. There is Soooooo much more to this story so advise you to look it up. Also one of the best HHN websites they ever did. Side note: My dog Terra is named for her royal highness the Terra Queen

Quick thought about the house that is "WAY" outside typical horror. Could be a BORG maze.

I'm thinking the dust witch will be the primary icon and jack might be a secondary. Maybe the carnival of carnage is returning and jack caught new characters but he cannot control them and they are running amok but the dust witch wants revenge on Jack.

This is wayyy over thinking but I read an article saying AHS is having what they claim to be the scariest clown ever in the next season. What if they licensed Jack from Universal and will be using HHN to market this season.

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet and I, like many others, may be looking way into this. But in regards to the KEVIN clue. Kevin was actually one of the possible creatures that could have been chosen in THE CABIN IN THE WOODS.

Quick comment about WKNB. Often times fans of horror use the initials KNB for tv and radio networks as an homage to the make up and special effects company KNB.

Asked this question and got a response very quickly. To what extent will LT be relying on researchers living outside of Florida to solve the mysteries of Halloween Horror Nights this year? As much as Operatives living in Florida. No HHN purchase necessary. IH

Ignatia responded with this answer: We have confirmed that the HHN website is distressingly incomplete. I think number one looks like the Terra Queen. Check out the high cheekbones and if you look towards the top of the head it looks almost as if the hair forms spikes.
