I would really just love HHN to go back to pure horror this year, no more paranormal or zombie just houses based on a character coming to kill your face.

so it looks like the icon could possibly be a black jack dealer? i think it would be really cool to have a house based on a vegas casino like in the 50's

Ok so i went to HHN on employee preview night but i dont really like to review the event until i go on an actual public day(so everything is running and scareactors are on there game). So first off i want to say i was a little bummed going into the night because i planned on getting an express pass but they sold out two days before ( i went on october 23rd, normally a packed day), so when i got there around 5:45 we were waiting for the park to open and we were right next to the ticket center and i saw the express sign so i thought what the hell ill just go see if they have any for some reason, and THEY DID!!!! it was an express pass that is good after 11 and its half the price of a regular express, so thats an amazing deal(im gonna do that every year now). Ok done with the boring stuff the park opened a half an hour early so we wanted to do the four we didnt do on employee preview night (havoc,orfanage,zombie,hades) So first was HAVOC:let me just say this house was amazing! I got to say that this was the first house i have ever been in since ive been going to HHN that every single scareactor was giving it there all and so into character, im not sure what cast it was but we went into the house again at like 11:30 and you guys were so good I just loved it. Ok the intensity in this house was just off the charts, the backstory was good and the design was great. In a way this kinda reminded me of The Thing: assimilation which is great because i loved that house and with the whole kind of military thing going on it was similar. I have to say my favorite spot was the chainsaw at the end of the hallway that was perfect and got me the second time very well lol. So overall amazing house! Next was ORFANAGE: I have been waiting for this moment for so long, CINDY has her own house YES!!!!!!. Ok so I heard mixed reviews of this house so i didnt really know what to expect but i thought this house was one of my favorites. Right when you walk into the house you can smell the burning wood and see it (great job with the lighting in this house) the detail in this house was just amazing, usually im not impressed with the jaws queue houses (SAW, F13th, DOT) but this was the perfect idea for this setting they could not have done better with it and the scareactors were on top of there game all night long. I remember the first time i went in the house i saw cindy and was so excited and i screamed CINDY!! and she replied with "Does it matter what my name is, im just gonna burn anyway" and that creeped me out lol. There is just something of the kids in houses that just freaks me out, just like 'the skool' at HHN 15. Overall this house was at the top. Oh and the open flame was awesome and the room with the kids in there beds was so scary they were great. Then it was time for ZOMBIEGEDDON: Im not gonna lie i wasnt looking forward to this house because this zone usually disappoints me but this year that changed. I really enjoyed this house from a comedic side and a scary side, I actually got some good scares in this house and i was shocked lol the scareactors were great in this house. I really enjoyed the garage that was very cool to see it finished and i got a scare in there and the part where the babies are behind the window and the baby hits the window, omg they got me so good i felt stupid after that lol. But overall this house exceeded my expectations and was a solid house. Next up was HADES: Once again i heard mixed reviews for this house but all the doubters are dumb lol this house was great! The facade was amazing it really felt like i was walking into another world. The scareactors in this house were amazing as well, whoever was the grim reaper dude when i went in was fantastic he got me so good. The overall design of this house was fantastic some of the masks were done poorly but the scareactors made up for it very well, for some reason im drawing a blank in this house because i remember just being so caught up in the scares lol but this house was very well done i was not expecting it to be as good as it was but it was intense and just overall creepy and scary. Now it is time for my favorite house of the year HORROR NIGHTS, THE HALLOWED PAST!: This house was AMAZING! When you step into right into the house its just like a HHN fans dream i really wish they had this lol, you see pieces of SAW, The Thing, Dead Silence, Nightmare on Elm Street, Body Collectors, Run, and the banners of every year was just amazing. Then you step into the spinning vortex that i love so much and you see pics of Jack, The director, The caretaker, and The storyteller it was great. Then you go into the hallway where the chainsaw dude pops out which was very scary and some other dude that looked like he belonged in phsycoscarepy or maybe the body collectors im not sure and he would scare me to death and tell me to get a haircut lol ( yes he said that on two different occasions), and then came frankenstein who was great. Then you step into that trippy room with the bloated burping guy who isnt that scary but kinda creepy lol. After that came one of my favorite rooms and it was the alice in wonderland room, everyone in that room was amazing literally everyone got me good. The dead exposure rooms came and i was so happy i love that house but it seems like there was only one scareactors for the two rooms it had which was disappointing but oh well, then S.S. Frightanic a house i wish i could have seen but that room was very cool i liked it. Then i believe it was the finale and I was so happy to see the icons and CHANCE! and then came the favorite Jack, which i kinda hate him because ive gone through this house five times this year and not once did he pop out at me even tho i would leave a long space between me and the person in front of me lol. Overall best house Next was CATACOMBS: I really thought this house was gonna be dumb but it was actually very good the only thing is they should have made it alot darker maybe something like PUTS, then it would have been perfect. So the overall design of the house was ok but the reason why i really loved it was the scareactors, they really did the best with what they had and they were just great. It seemed like there was alot of scareactors in this house and i got the most scares in here it was just perfect. This wasnt really supposed to be a intense house but the scareactors were just fast paced intensity it was great, and i loved how even tho they popped out like two seconds they would come out again so quickly they didnt like wait for the next group and i loved that. I really like the part with the dude hanging up on the ceiling and a guy got me so good because i was looking up the hole time lol. It was cool that they would have rooms with signs kind of explaining what was going on i liked that alot. Overall this was a great house. LEGENDARY TRUTH: I was really looking forward to this house and in a way it was a disappointment. The whole backstory and design of the house was just fantastic but there was not that many scareactors and i didnt really like how they were glow in the dark masks. I really liked the ghost that was under your feet that was crazy it freaked me out! and the room with the ghost on the bed was really good i really liked how they did it. And i remember this one part where your in like a living room and there is these three windows and a ghost will pop up on each one and it will lead you to a real ghost right in your face that was so great it freaked me out so badly i loved it. So overall this house was pretty good. And the facade was the best of the year. PHYSCOSCAREAPY: This one of my most anticipated houses and it didnt meet my expectations but it was pretty good. The scare factor in this house was good and the overall design was great, once again i loved the facade they really made it look like it has been shut down for years it was really cool. First im gonna jump right to the jail cell hallway that was done perfectly with the hands it got me good a couple of times. The shock therapy room was really cool as well as always there was a girl in there that got me good. And thats really all i have to say for this house i really just liked the design. My voting for the houses are: 1.Horror Nights 2.Orfanage 3.Havoc 4.Catacombs 5.Hades 6.Legendary Truth 7.Zombegeddon 8.Physcoscareapy Scarezone voting: 1.Twenty years of fear 2.Saws n Steam 3.Fear revealed 4.The coven 5.Esqueleto Muerte 6.Zombie Gras So overall this year was very good i think it was alot better than the last two years if not last four, it reminded me of old HHN and it definatelly got me ready for the new era of HHN. This year met my expectations and those expectations were high. I would like to say thank you to all the scareactors who were a part of this year you guys make the event scary and the creative team for making the event and good luck on the new era and Universal you are the best park ever keep doing what your doing just make HHN cheaper and more intense thanks!

Oh but one thing I loved was when I saw the new cast come in how you guys came out of nowhere and just started running in there I was freaked out very good zone

Um where was the chainsaws? lol this was a good zone loved the fog it was so hard to see and never got crowded but idk if it's because it was just preview night but could have used more chainsaws

Best scarezone I've seen in awhile this was the first one that I could say they did a great job with details, they had house quality sets in there it was great. I was a little disappointed to see them go with the carnival of carnage version of jack but seeing Mary shaw mad it all better

The facade is almost like your walking into a mine or something very little detail this house was dissapointing, the scareactors were good in this one but it's kind of the spawning of this year

I went in four houses and this was the only one I did twice this was the best house of the night between(physcoscareapy, catacombs, and legendary truth) it's great for a hhn fanatic it had good scares I just loved the hole warehouse thing it was really good

This house was very well designed I tried to get into legendary truth but I couldn't understand but for the most part this was a good one

Just got out and it's amazing definattely a must see

Yea and for hhn 18 they had bloody marys that was perfect lol

OMG that sounds so sick and the 25 dollars for some reason sounds reasonable, idk if i would be able to take that but it makes me really want to go to howl o scream this year.

Like most people here i am so confused with scareapy im hoping jack will be in it but it looks like ghosts which makes me confused and interested, this whole year seems like there is a very paranormal feel to it. I cant wait to visit the horror nights house and the scarezone. Orfanage is my most anticipated house of the year, im looking forward to the legendary truth house even tho i dont really understand the whole legendary truth thing but that looks pretty good. The scarezones this year look pretty good, im looking forward to saws n steam that looks like it will be a hell of fun chainsaw dudes and you wont be able to see because of the fog that just sounds badass. Well im looking forward to team member night i think this year is going to be great!

Opening weekend isn't that bad crowd wise actually I went opening night last year and the longest line was like 60 min it was nice
