  1. I got a survey several times already. Intersting survey I thought the scenarios at the end were and interesting way to see what my preferences were.
  2. The house comment was me pontificating. I just meant if they had adults in the house they should be able to find adults to be in the streets. The place I talked with the employee was in the (if I remember the name correctly) Alter of Terror (the place where the charcters walked around and interacted in the street). Sorry if I mislead you. That was not my intention. I got photos of the Twins but they were not great,. Once I got blocked a few times I asked the employee on the sidwalk about it and that was the explaination I got. I stopped taking any photos after that of them. It didn't sound right but I didn't want to be the creepy guy taking the photos I was just told not to take. First time visitor. Came from quite a distance and didn't need to be shown the door.
  3. I believe you. I am not a local. I may be using the wrong word, but I was told by two different employees that they were minors. That was my first HHN and I was just getting my feet wet. I believed whatever I was told if they had a UO identifier on them. When I did my exit survey one night (they tag me every time for some reason) I mentioned that I felt the it would be really nice to have the character actors on that one strip to slow down a bit and allow an easier time for selfies. I was told that in particular the twins shouldn't be photographed for the reason mentioned. In the houses the photo issue wouldn't have been an issue. That said, if they could find shortish women to play them in the house, then why couldn't they find them for outside. I don't know.
  4. I was at HHN several nights and so I hung out to get some good photos of the characters like Bloodyface, etc and I noticed everytime I tried to take a photo of the twins the security would step in the way. I asked an employee about this and she said that they were underage actors and basically there are a lot of creeps (my words) out there so they are trying hard to stop photos of them. I admit I thought they were just short adults. In this case, truth was scarrier than the fiction that was going on around us.
  5. Thanks for the perspective and thanks for the Howl-o-scream tip. I had that on the radar and was considering it. I will await the VIP packages to be announced and sign up. It certainly looked pretty cool. I will be at Cabana Bay for 6 days so I have time to go there. I have the RIP tour booked for Friday the 13th at HHN, so that's neat. I will be patient and listen to the guiidance of the more experienced HHNers here. All the best.
  6. This will be my first HHN. As an outsider, I am excited to see what the hype is about. As a person who shelled out a considerable sum for flight tickets (coming from Canada), passes, RIP passes, I want to buy souvenirs, hotel nights etc, for two people, I do find this model of ‘just trust us’ is a bit lacking. Our modern world doesn’t really work that way. I find the tweets from the official HHN feed to be trite. I find the hurry up and wait frustrating. My wife told me that my best friend (who I am going with) and I should go annually to HHN, but frankly, I can’t take this sort of frustration annually. This event is supposed to be a source of fun. Entertainment. Stress relief. I am finding the opposite to be the case from the way this has been handled. This is my view as a newbie and an outsider of sorts. I can’t imagine the frustrations felt by others who have seen the marketing campaign handled in a more forthright manner in the past. I can hear the polite frustrations being expressed on boards like this, but I suspect they are more close to the surface than is being let on. I am invested so I wait for the news, but honestly, if I had not already paid for stuff, I probably would just pack up my bat and ball and stay home.
  7. This will be my first time going to HHN. My best friend and I are going. My wife told me that we should make it an annual trip from now on. I have a great wife! I have to ask: is this the way things go each year as far as announcements go? By the time I got flight tickets (I am from Canada), RIP tour, tickets to Universal, hotel, and HHN tickets, it is a lot to shell out essentialy sight unseen. I am sure it wil be great and I bought in based on its reputation, but still this is not the way I usually spend this much cash. Surely, they know what houses are being done by now? And the pithy comments on the HHN Twitter feed doesn't help. Anyhow, any perspective is appreciated. I don't want to sound like a whiner, but a bit more transparency would really make me feel more comfortable with the whole thing. Thanks.
