Less than a day left on the countdown. I'm thinking there are a few possibilities (listed from lame to awesome):

--Absolutely nothing, since we've established that Marketing likes trolling

    --Clarification/more info on Soul Collectors

    --SZ announcement

    --House announcement

    --Everything that's left announcement

I haven't been out to CP to see the SZ construction....is it behind walls?

I think it's going to be the middle three, but there's a good chance it won't happen at 11:00am when the counter hits zero.

Second season JUST came out, so it's still $35.

Season 2 actually comes out on August 22nd.

Also, check your local libraries. That's where we end up getting a lot of our movies/TV shows from. If you have a decent librarian, they'll probably have a few copies floating around.

Anyone got any guesses for what's in store in this maze? I've never seen the show but I'm glad they announced a new property

Ash has a trailer that features pretty prominently in the first few episodes. I'd be surprised if we didn't see that as the facade.

There will probably be some S-Mart scene

There's a puppet (seen in the video) named Ashy Slashy. They'll probably use the same technique as the Krampus bear last year for him.

There's a really good eye-less demon (also in the video) that's one of the big-bads in season 1. Great design on that guy.

A return to the cabin (may be a good bit of the house?)

Finally...there's a fight scene in a morgue with a dead body. Not sure how they'd pull it off, but you should try and find it online. It. Is. Hilarious.

2 seasons thus far. If you enjoyed the 1st 2 movies, you'll love the show. It has a great combination of horror, comedy, and gore. If you have Starz, you can watch both seasons right now on demand. You can get it in dvd format from Netflix, but I'm unsure if it's both seasons.

Even if it wasn't at HHN, I'd recommend watching it to any horror fan.

Plus, it is a straight-up sequel to the movies. It's like Evil Dead 4 and 5, but several hours long each.

Oh thanks for making it worse, Dan.  :jason:

Sorry. At least you're not in my situation.

My BIG weekly meeting starts at 11:00 on Thursdays. I've been trying to figure out a way to get it moved or cancelled all week.

On another note:  So much for the theory that we'd get an announcement during Comic Con.  Lame, Universal.

I'm adding that point to my list of things I've learned this announcement season...HHN doesn't play well with Comic-Con

Has anyone seen the movie Creep? Got a 97% on rotten tomatoes.  I thought it was ok, watchable, but I didn't understand how it got such a high rating.  It's a blumhouse movie also would be fun if they added the peachfuzz character to the blumhouse maze lol

They could reuse some AWIL props to do a Peachfuzz cameo.

I really liked Creep because it was really well done...and super short. That runtime wins a lot of points from me.

I mean, the main girl goes along with a plot to rob a blind war veteran just so she and her daughter can have enough money to move to California. Am I supposed to cheer her on for that?

That's actually her little sister. The one thing you're overlooking is that she feels trapped, and she needs to get her and her sister out of their current living situation (trying to be as spoiler free as possible). It's not a great choice, and she seems somewhat remorseful about it, but it's the best option she has at the time.

I was cheering for the blind guy for sure.

For the whole thing? The movie is intentionally set up that you should be rooting for him early on, but it would be very difficult to say that after the second act.

    Whoa, now.

Jason Takes Manhattan is might be garbage, but it's high-quality garbage.

I swear. That movie was made by someone who had never been to New York, they'd just seen it on TV.

I also love that riding on a boat for 85% of the movie, and then running around NYC for the last half of the third act can be called "taking Manhattan" .

Frankly RT SHOULD be rough on horror movies because so many of them SUCK.  I don't want to watch a horror movie just because it's a horror movie.  Give me something new, something interesting, something scary.  Don't give me a half-assed, crappily-acted, horrendously-written, time-waster.

Fair enough, but most horror movies (not all but most) take a 50-60 point hit just because of their genre.
