  2. Yeah...am I the only person disappointed with the possible return of AWIL? I mean, it was an alright house two years ago, but why bring it back so soon? There's really not much that can be done to change the house, so I don't see why they'd even bother bringing it back when we would've had something else there, like maybe a sequel to Nightingale's, or another IP? I mean they've been doing good with video game houses (minus Resident Evil), and yes I kinda consider AVP to be a video game house as well, seeing as how there have been a ton of games based on them, and taking place in a Weyland Yutani base with marines, aliens, and predators running around.

Also, is there even the slightest chance that TWD will not return this year? I'm kinda tired of seeing zombies inside of prisons...

Unless the leaked list turns out to be fake and/or marketing forces an IP, this is our lineup.

  3. It should. It's the "kids" area themed to cartoons that haven't been on the air in a decade and comics found in a dying media.

And if Dudley were rethemed to anything, the adventures of a cartoon plumber can't get any more on the nose.

Getting rid of a kiddie coaster, outdated playgrounds, and a show based on one that's been off the air for several years are bigger priorities to Uni than getting rid of two rides that get long lines in the summer.
  4. It will never, ever happen. Nintendo will not want it. Universal will not want it. The demographics HHN caters to will not want it. A Nintendo zone will appeal to primarily younger people (trying to pull people from Disney into the parks), people who will not go to HHN. The properties Nintendo has will NOT fit into an event. The titles you are suggesting are laughably unknown. Also, realize how themed the zone is going to be - Nintendo will not want walking dead Mario around.

And not a single, single, single genuine horror fan will like the idea of this compared to what else they can do.

Quit wasting time on this idea.

You're underestimating how popular Nintendo is with adults.

  5. You'd think they'd inform everyone that needs to know, but that didn't happen in 2012.

    But...

There's other possibilities for closure. Unlike SS44, Disaster has a fully functional ride system that will require more "specialized" demolition. They could, theoretically, close the ride and begin internal demolition/removal of the the ride systems without interfering with the extended external queue/house. Garden of Allah has been experinecing internal demo and rebuilding since last year. I haven't been back to Uni since HHN, but I haven't heard of any walls going up around the building. La Bamba is connected to Allah, yes? If so, has it been affected (closed down) by the construction in Allah? Isn't La Bamba where they do the character breakfasts?

EDIT: Checked out the Character Breakfast on the Uni site. It is indeed in La Bamba, and appear available for purchase.

This is what I think is going to happen. Disaster closes shortly before HHN and Beetlejuice during the event with both being torn down after the event is over.

  6. If they close Beetlejuice, what are they replacing it with? Isn't there restrooms and stuff between Disaster and Beetlejuice?

Fast and Furious is going to take up that whole block.

They can always add more to next year's plate. Kong is going to be opening very early into the year, so Furious for the fall/winter would be when it opens. Would it be possible for the second show to move to Animal Actors' stage?

EDIT: JungleSkip on OU is saying all of San Francisco is being demolished.

  7. Regarding Disaster! (or as I like to call it, "Walkin' with Walken"), there's potential for them to delay its closing until after HHN. While it's viable to rush the build like they did with Transformers, Disaster is STILL an operating attraction unlike Soundstage 44. They need that operating capacity during the summer. Also, it may be beneficial to wait a bit so that a Fast/Furious ride can open in 2017. I would predict (though I could be very wrong), they do with Disaster what they did with Jaws and close it just after the holidays. That gives them just over a year to build the new attraction (which we know they can do).

Now, how it could impact HHN if it DOES close is up for conjecture. The Disaster queue is unique in that it's the closest we have to "outdoor" house. That's why they get chainsaws, which are kinda vital to the whole Run experience. While Alice would be probably be the easiest house to cut (not a "celebration" house), there may be nowhere else for Run to work. If that is the case, then they'll just cut it. The bigger question is how important is adding a ninth house? Would they be willing to put what was already cut back in to fill the "void?"

2017 already has the water park and Twister's replacement, so it would make sense for Furious to open next year. Could it be possible they demolish the building towards the end of the summer but keep the queue and Beetlejuice for HHN?
