  1. Collaboration... @HorrorNightsORL: Boom! @HorrorNights http://t.co/f8Qr3qrEnz Looks like we need to start working on Murdy's codenames over here again.
  2. Bite your tongue!!! And stop giving them ideas!! Lol. AHS: Hotel has the possibility of beating out TWD in the marketing arena. If they do Hotel (which is rumored to take place at The Garden of Allah. The actually locale, not the one in the park), they wouldn't be marketing just to AHS fans. They'd be marketing to Lady Gaga fans as well. With this year being "the year for an upcharge house", which would sell better? AHS: Hotel or TWD. I think the addition of Lady Gaga to the cast of AHS is a game changer.
  3. In AHS news: http://m.hollywoodreporter.com/entry/view/id/921861?facebook_20150225 If AHS does appear at HHN, will this announcement effect which season we see?
  4. Twister is rumored to be going under the knife, too. While it doesn't hold a house, it usually holds lines. Depending on how they do construction, they may be able to do internal demo without closing off the queue.
  5. I completely missed that on the map. My brain seems to "blackout" that entire area due to all the rumors about Fear Factor being removed at some point. I think the forerunner is the Ministry of Magic going in that area. HP phase 3 will happen at some point. Does anyone know if the Disaster! Queue props have been placed back into position? I haven't been to day time Uni since July of last year, so after house construction began. Something that is currently driving me insane from curiosity... What is going into Allah? From a notice of commencement, we know it's some kind of media lab. Will it be a guest experience? Will it be possible to place an LT experience in there? (Bring LT HQ back home?) What is it?!!! And will there be buttons to push?!!!
  6. Do you mean the extended queue for the Hogwarts Express? The one that took over part of the Disaster! extended queue? To my knowledge, that queue ended up not being needed. (And it stole a portion of house space). I'm hoping it goes away and we get that portion back.
  7. Mummy didn't open until 2004. There were two Mummy houses. I think one in 98 or 99 and the other in 00 or 01. Kong was usually open during the event in the 90s and you walked through Kong in Nightmare Creatures.
  8. Part of the Mummy extended queue was used for the LT experience last year. Sting Alley was used as part of 07's Vampyre, but Nazerman's was the main house location. If I remember correctly from previous discussions, Nazerman's can't be used as a house location anymore. It is used as storage now?
  9. I know Robosaurus was sold, and whoever owned him last tried to sell him to the guys on Pawn Stars. (Maybe not owned him last. But someone tried to sell him on Pawn Stars) I'm not sure where he is now.
  10. I need Jack's original backstory. October 31, 1923 sounds familiar. (Cassi's listed birthdate.) I shall Google. Edit: Close. Jack died on Halloween 1920.
  11. Yay!! Cassi's back. And I don't have figure out how to post the clues via my phone this time!!! The clue can go so many directions, and everyone seems to have mentioned them already. I think the cake represents that it's an anniversary year, and I prefer the one or two extra houses or one or two parks theories.
  12. Someone correct me if my memory is faulty... Uni made the last set of masks for Freddy, right? Then they had to get the masks approved by New Line? Universal still molds many of the masks used at the event. DOC from FaceOff posted an HHN 25 mold on Instagram in December or January. At least, he tagged it as HHN 25.
  13. Since we have been discussing a desire for more interactive capabilities and the Legendary Truth experience's return, I figured I would give an update on the antenna situation. There are 9 permits for new antennas now. The locations are listed as: 1 Entrance 2 Magic shop 3 Spongebob 4 Kwik-E-Mart 5 Fear Factor 6 Candy Shop 7 Finnegan's 8 Monster's Cafe 9 Production Central Hopefully, these new antennas bode well for future interactive elements (wifi, RFID, apps, etc)
  14. A recent addition to Doc's tumblr: http://drjimmyandbob.tumblr.com/post/111323376017/clavicle-moundshroud-my-favorite-haunted-home
  15. Why would there need to be separate charges? I could only see LT selling to the GP (not just the fans) as a package deal.
  16. The only way to do a hard R/NC17 house is by making it an upcharge/extreme house. I'm assuming (by reading between the lines so to speak) that we haven't had an AHS house yet because the rights owners (Fox/FX/Murphy/whoever it is) won't budge on the ratings level for the house. They want a hard R house. Universal doesn't want a hard R house offered at their PG13 event. Extreme is the only option.
  17. Crimson Peak is the IP coming out this year from Universal and their partner Legendary Pictures. As with Wolman, The Thing, and Dracula Untold, A&D would have access to the film and set design information from the movie if Crimson Peak were to become a house. Recent history (the three previous houses I mentioned) shows that Universal will do a house based on an upcoming movie. Live it before you see it. It's a win for them. The house becomes a living, revenue producing trailer. I cannot see Universal downgraded the quality of their sets due to the potential of more houses. If more houses than the usual 8 occur (we get a 9th or 10th), it will be touted as a big deal and this is an anniversary year. Hurting the quality to up the quantity would not do them and favors. If they go big, they'd better bring their A game for all the houses or it could hurt their image. (This is, of course, a budget reference since I have complete faith in A&D. They will do quality work.) Ticket packages prior to ROF and FFP? None. Nada. Zip. Zilch. There may have been deals and discounts for multiple nights, but considering I bought my tickets for HHN at Spencer's or Spirit for my first few years, I'm unaware of any. There wasn't even express until 2002. They were little booklets with rip out tickets. (And for a completely related, but not necessarily relevant note: I'm old. I remember when you couldn't buy tickets for HHN on the computer.)
  18. Want it. Gorgeous facade. Check. Beautiful costumes. Check. Scare factor. Check. Snow effect from Winter's Night. Check. I don't even need to see the movie first.
  19. Skin walkers are more folklore (and partially religous belief) then cryptid. But, the 2012 UL house or El Chupacabra house could have had skin walkers incorporated into. Skin walkers are similar to werewolves except instead of being unfortunate victims of a bite, the skin walkers seek out the transformation.
  20. Two weekends in September is actually new. 2008 started on 9/26. 2009 on 9/25, 2010 on 9/24 and so on getting earlier and earlier. I remember reading that the earlier dates actually caused some issues with rehearsals and SZ set up. EP was usually a week to 10 days prior to the event start date instead of the Wednesday before. There was more time to correct issues. (Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong about the rehearsal times being hurt by the earlier date.)
  21. The Good Doctor's tmblr has strayed from purely British fare to a more varied food feast. Several unusual offerings have appeared from different cultures. Eggs, seafood, pork, and entrails (offal) seem to be a running theme.
  22. Wait! Wait!!! I've made the British connection Doc's been hinting at!!! Jack isn't coming back. We are getting his British cousin Union Jack!!!!! *ggls maniacally*
  23. I think Ritual is a strong possibility. A best of house seems very likely. Streets... Beyond wanting to see what we lost last year, I'm not sure what I'd like to see. I still have a desire for pirates of some kind at some point. If Jack is hosting the event, I would hope we could get a CoC or Arrival style show. Although, Bayou may have shown us this won't happen. A cirque style "freak show" would also be nice.
  24. I would say the majority of Screamscape's article fits the definition of speculation. "a. Reasoning based on inconclusive evidence; conjecture or supposition. b. A conclusion, opinion, or theory reached by conjecture." And that's all it is. Conjecture and opinion. It's what most of us do, unless we do hear rumors from sources, or we have clues to try to figure out. Some speculation has a firmer foundation than others, but usually there is no hard evidence. I agree with your list. And 31, should fall into a wishful thinking instead of the speculation category since I believe there is evidence to support it not appearing at the event.
