  1. Eek. That was the best performance of Joker, bar Mark Hamill's voice work. Maybe just not TDK; there's a lot of gory, freaky stuff that the Joker has done throughout his decades as the Clown Prince of Crime. Maybe Arkham Asylum? That way, we could get several villains in there; Joker, Harley, Ivy, Zsasz...that would be really cool, come to think of it. But we've already got Jack and Chance. Why try and vie for those pesky rights? Not sure what could be done for a park wide Scary Tales type thing. Perhaps that freaky librarian icon mentioned earlier? If we don't want to get a new icon, then perhaps just use The Storyteller once more. Not sure how many houses could be made based off of fairy tales alone, though. Most of them are fairly short. Unless Universal really had the balls to try and depict the actual Disney movies in a more darker light; Druzella and Anastasia getting their feet cut off would be quite the departure, lol.
  2. Heh. Like that Knott's house that basically poked fun at Frozen? If better executed, that could be cool. I've thought about them doing 'twisted Disney', and it could be cool, but unfortunately that seems about as likely as the dream I had where the entirety of HHN was based on various Batman villains. But twisted Disney would essentially just be a park-wide Scary Tales, wouldn't it?
  3. Alien leader could be either really freaky, or really cheesy. Though if I had to pick...either a butcher or a demented doctor could be cool. I totally agree and think we should steal the Puppetmaster, too. Maybe a 'group' of icons? Like...idk...take an asylum. Then take various employees of that asylum - a doctor who would experiment on the patients, a nurse who enjoyed torturing the patients, a psychologist who would give people fake diagnoses to ship them off to that asylum...(that's one of my biggest fears, actually; being told I'm crazy, then sent to a rundown, Arkham Asylum type place).
  4. I don't attend the events, per say (being a seventeen-year-old in Ohio whose family only goes to Disney World will do that to you). But heck, I enjoy what I can get out of stuff online (and what I have been getting out of it since 2009). I like seeing the construction pics, the speculation, the lore, what IPs/originals might be brought to the table, the behind the scenes stuff...even reviews, videos, descriptions of the houses/scare zones, etc. It's the atmosphere of the very event, even through a computer screen, that gets me going all the time. That being said, I totally love all the hokey, nostalgic decorations put up. Brings me back to being a really little kid, haha.
  5. 1. Blizzard (Yaaaaas) 2. Anniversary (Let's hope it's not Hallow'd Past redux) 3. RUN (Sounds like a fun concept) 4. Freddy vs Jason (Two of my favorite horror icons combined? Hell yes.) 5. Purge (Liked the scarezone. Hope it translates well.) 6. Alice 3D (Not a huge fan of 3D houses, but w/e.) 7. AWIL (Eh.) 8. Insidious (The movies are creepy, but not high on my excitement list) 9. Walking Dead (...Euuuuurgh.)
  6. I liked the Purge well enough (the sequel more than the first one). I'm excited to see how the scarezone translates into a house. I hope there's throwbacks to the original Scream plans, as well, even if it's just a blink-and-you'll-miss-it sort of thing.
  7. I could definitely dig this. Modern horror versus the original squad? That'd be pretty awesome.
  8. It's like seeing all the presents under the tree the week or so before Christmas. You can look, but you can't touch, and it's so entirely frustrating. It's so close, but yet so far. The suspense is killing me, lol.
  9. I, for one, welcome our new FTWD overlords. /s Badge's scenario was nearly exactly what was going through my mind. Kudos to you for being able to put it in words (and glad to see you posting!).
  10. Dang. That's some good info you brought to the table, Dr. Jimmy. (You need to write, like, an HHN encyclopedia or something. You're awesome, haha.) Regardless, I wish AHS was a house. I love the series. A chupacabra house would be awesome, too.
  11. What could it be that would cause it to be scrapped so close to showtime, though? I mean, I guess that's what we're all trying to figure out, but still. Everything would basically have been finalized at this point. It must be something really big for it to just suddenly be scrapped. (I've never seen Scream. Whoops. Guess I should get on that.)
  12. I'd really like to see either Five Nights at Freddy's, Jurassic World, Krampus, or another Scary Tales. I don't know if any of these ideas are feasible, but damn, they'd be cool to see. We already got some Jurassic Park stuff back in 2002 or so, I'd love to see them go back to that idea. (Is it too late to post here, or are we all on board for the speculation/official news discussion thing now?)
  13. Sigh. TWD. Was there anything really noteworthy this season that would be good for a house?
  14. On the grounds of pure wishful thinking...I would love something Batman or X-Files related. There are a ton of unfortunate implications and scary things in Batman, and the X Files is self explanatory. And if it was more popular than the niche audience it attracts...Five Nights at Freddy's. If they can't do that, I would love to see their take on a demented, possessed/evil Chuck E. Cheese type place. Animatronics can be freaky. None of those are likely at all, but, well, a girl can dream.
  15. Twisted and disturbing in all the right ways. Good job, HHN. This is definitely one of my favorites.
