I noticed that around the times they are getting ready to do the "sacrifice" all the actors are near the stage, the show itself is pretty interesting and the actors have a ton of enthusiasm and interact really well with the crowd. I enjoyed seeing it. The rest of the time the zone seems plenty full to me.
The couple of times I passed by (different hours) there was nothing going on in the stage but I wonder if the show was about to start or what because the zone just feels very empty of actors

I know everyone said we should be thankful for having Scarezones back and that it would all be okay,
But if it wasn't for the horror music playing in the park, it wouldn't really feel like HHN was taking place. the park feels really empty. Face off is too tiny, Bayou felt too empty, Purge was way too crowded,I Think 2012 had better streets honestly. At least there were 9 groups of actors walking around the park. The only Zone that works this year is Maskerade. It's disappointing to see how little there is street wise this year.
I think I prefer actors in the streets over props. Like I said, it barely feels like HHN is here. -
Is it just me or does this zone barely have any actors? barely feels like there is anyone in the zone, I saw a couple of women walking around and then the stilt walkers near the stage but that's it. What's the deal with that? Why does it feel so empty?

This house was nothing short of amazing! The aliens look really good and the predators are huge!
Two things I thought were in the house, but didn't notice: a chest buster and the alien queen. Weren't these suppose to be here, or am I missing something?
Can't wait to hit this one again tonight!!
Hollywood got the Queen but we didn't, Their final room looks more awesome than ours from what I saw on the videos (huge queen puppet)

Liked the movie, but I have never seen the series. I have the el rey channel, would anyone recommend watching the show?
I would say, watch episodes 1-3 skip 4 and 5 and episode 6 is when it finally gets any good. the show is basically a 12 hour remake of the movie where they change some major characters and add some new story lines but it really is just a remake of the movie. The extra stuff is nice but they mostly focus on following the movie plot.

I have been to a lot of smaller haunts here in Texas and this works well for them however there are way to many people in the HHN queues to make this happen. At the small haunts i have seen people run the length of the entire queue pushing and shoving people out of there way to get away from the scare actor. Mix Pushing and Shoving + Alcohol and you going to get fights occurring or someone getting injured \ trampled.
or they could have the actors go into the house using the express line? making it seem like they were express pass holders?
-
They absolutely could replace it with actors. Scareactors don't cost a whole lot of money and are practically disposable resources; five actors told to hustle forward in a group would have looked infinitely better than what they have.
That's what I was thinking as well. seeing how we only got 4 scarezones and not even any hordes or anything I doubt they would be willing to add more actors to this house. they won't even add more people in the streets where it is needed lol.

Psh, you don't need anything for the rain. Just bask in it and laugh at the fools who do nothing because they're scared of water
i would Love to have the kind of immune system you have lol. Rain makes me terribly sick if I stay in those wet clothes, (Specially since the soundstages are so cold.)
And walking for 5+ hours in wet shoes.... no way.

I would have preferred 7 stages rather than a nod with "snakeman" over there lol
-
i believe the snake one is this guy from the 7 deadly sins challenge

seems kind of random lol, not the best one but i guess it was chosen for practicality?

The walker horde effects (they made multiple attempts) were all pretty lame. The forest scene failed because many of the mannequins were very obviously posed and their flesh looked nothing like the actors; they looked more like department store mannequins than proper dummies.
And the effect they used in the store......I just laughed. Literally laughed out loud. It was cheesy on a $20 spookhouse level.
it sounds like the effect is really cheap but I'm thinking I rather have mannequins in the house than nothing at all, which was the problem the WD houses had in the past two years.
I'll have to see it to understand but I don't think adding more "walkers" is a problem because, I guess my question would be, imagine if they took out the cheap mannequins and just left the spaces empty. (I don't think they could replace the dummies with actors could they?)
I obviously have no idea what the house is like, but the problem with the Walking Dead in both house and scarezone mode is how empty it always felt before.

Without the callbacks it is watching people act out a movie that is playing on the screen behind them.
I went to see Rocky for many years in my youth, should have done better things on my Friday and Saturday nights, and I will say this with utter honesty. The movie sucks. I mean it really really really sucks. Bad acting, bad effects (even for 1975), bad direction... Just sucks. Why would you want to sit through what has become one of the ultimate audience participation films without participating?
I just hope that Universal will now censor in the line queues. I've heard vulgarity that has made me turn and wonder if these kids have parents. Yeah, lil bastards no older than 13/15 just popping off with f-bombs and sexual innuendo that I don't say in public. Then the drunks... well, that is a completely different story. Also off topic.. Sorry bout that.
they wont even check for smoking or people cutting in line... lol
the movie might suck but the show and the actors are great. I mean do the callbacks really change what is on the stage that much? it is still a great show even if no one yells.
but like everyone has said, Universal needs to step it up and bring a horror show. this is becoming ridiculous (I wish everyone just ask them to bring the evil dead show here on those surveys or something )

I cannot wait to hear about all the guests that will ask the Uni workers at the park about the Chucky house and freak out when they realize there is no house lol.
"What Do you mean there is no Chucky house??I Already Got the SHIRT FOR IT!!!"
-
They should do "Evil Dead: The Musical: Abridged - A Tribute Show."
And actually call it that. It would fit the tone perfectly. As long as it has "Cabin In The Woods," "Look Who's Evil Now," "What the [bleep] Was That," (with gratuitous bleeping), "I Am Not A Killer" and "(Do the) Necronomicon," it would be absolutely perfect as a fun side show.
this would be great lol, I don't really understand why they have such a hard time coming up with something original, fun and horror related. It makes no sense.

no one really knows what repo is, and half the people that saw it hated it. so it would probably fail pretty badly (just my guess)
I personally kind of hate some of the callbacks, not because they are obscene or anything but because I kind of feel annoyed of the same things being yelled out after so may years. the whole "a-hole/slut" gets on my nerves and it's kind of lame now. the show will always be great but some of the callbacks are kind of dumb now. I like when theaters change them up and create their own
I wish Universal came up with their own pg 13 approved callbacks and put subtitles on their screens lol

I've read that in other places as well, but I have also read that they are new puppets.
Personally, I feel the two creature types are anatomically incompatible. While we don't know what is "under the fur", there are distinct differences between the two creatures. The first one being the Wolf is quadrupedal and the Xenomorph is primarily bipedal. The xenomorph has a form closer to humanoid than the Wolf. The forelegs and hind legs need to be thinner and longer to achieve the appropriate look. The head shape of the Wolf isn't similar to the xenomorph. It's far more bulky than the sleek xenomorph head. Then you have the snout which would need to be reworked/removed. And we can't forget the tail, it would need to be longer on the xenomorph too.
Has anyone heard confirmation of either scenario? New or reskinned?
the aliens in AVP movies are quadrupedal

you get ID'ed if your fingerprint doesn't work sometimes

Basically. Lol could try to sell it online or something if they're that desperate xD
it wouldn't work because it would have your name on it lol. I don't know where I saw it but someone else was asking that question and it just made me wonder about it

What what what??? Crazy. Probably a rights issue then.
the song doesn't play on the video for the house on the website either. it's just some random song that sounds similar lol

I tried sunglasses as well, the entire day actually, even indoors I wouldn't take them out (before the event even started) it does not work at all.
Unless you can find extremely dark glasses it won't help (like, really really dark). But In the case of Dracula I found the darkness to make the house much much scarier. Dracula was one of the few houses that made me scream due to the darkness and not being able to see the actors coming out. I missed a lot of the detail but it experience was great. -
Are you talking about getting a refund? If so you can't. all ticket sales are final.
no I don't have a ticket yet, just curious about it.
so if for some reason you couldn't go you are all out of luck? that sucks lol

can a person return a frequent fear ticket before the event starts? or after it starts but have never used it? how does that work? just made me wonder because i think i saw someone else ask that question but i cant find the post

Has anyone heard or read if there will be any unmasked Predators in this maze?

even if they do it will probably not look very nice. Im thinking it might look something like Nemesis from last year but with mandibles

Here's a question I haven't seen yet: how does rain effect the event? If it's rainy, does this mean lines are longer for indoor/covered attractions? Or, if it's raining, does it mean crowd levels end up being lower than expected?
didn't some houses get closed when it rained before? I recall something like that

I'm glad I'm not the only one that wasn't wowed by Walking Dead. I personally kind of hated the house. besides being so long I don't see what the big deal is.
same old zombies as before and same old scare tactics. If this house had come in 2012 then it Would have been surprising. But by now it's such a headache to even have it in the park. this franchise doesn't bring anything new except the different sets
