they have no props and are just a horde yet this is one of the most fun zones this year. I love it

in front of the Alice entrance ( in front of the lagoon )

I do think it was the subject of the zone that fails. 2013s walking dead zone was pretty great. Out of that year that was probably the best zone. It didn't feel that empty either purge was pretty incredible too. Very intense and didn't feel empty either. 2 years in a row that the zone worked. (even with the problem of the parade) So I do think this was an idea that did not translate well (this could have been a good house when you think about it) this is going to sound like blasphemy but I kind of wished they had brought back the purge for this Year. Or bring it back for next year even

I didn't want to say anything about this zone before, but after seeing it a couple of days, I am just not feeling it. Psychoscareapy works as a house with the sets and the Asylum and the props they use for the houses and everything but I didn't feel like it translated well into a street zone. Maybe it is just me, and yeah the sets are nice, but mental patients work better in a house. I know the actors are having fun with this zone and doing the best they can, but the concept doesn't really work for me. just not as good as other zones from the past. (maybe it is the location, a smaller location might have worked better) sometimes it feels like there is too much dead space.

I think uni fueled the selfie craze by using instagram to promote the event.(and twitter) uni is getting a lot of free promotion by the fans just sharing the selfies. (selfies are being posted on facebook too) if anything uni fueled this by asking fans to use the hash tags #hhn25 or #jacksmaniacs or using vine. Uni tried to take full advantage of social media and this is the result. Can't have it both ways lol
-
selfies are here to stay. if they do a no photos policy all they are going to do is piss off that newbie general public they worked so hard to get by using walking dead 4 years. yeah the selfies are annoying but I hope uni understands that they are going to have to adapt to that. besides universal is using instagram and twitter to promote the event with fans using the #hhn25 hashtag so it would be a bigger mess when people see the pics on social media but then go to the park and ate told no pictures. the event keeps evolving, and adapting. Just like the parade never allowed them to put proper sets in the streets, and how they had to find a way to decorate around that problem. seems like they are going to find a way to adapt to this selfie craze

I wonder how they will minimize the crowds... that's interesting. (Maybe Freddy and Jason should have had some mini stages built like the Icons had lol. normally you never get big crowds in scarezones, but Jason brings a huge group. I do not recall seeing so many people trying to get a pic before. (Not even with Jack in 2010) I was actually shocked when I saw that big group of people next to Jason

Oh yeah I appreciate you guys mentioning it.

as bad as the purge is, I think I had a better time at the Purge than I did at RUN or Asylum in Wonderland. (same goes for the Walking Dead, better time in the WD than Run or asylum) maybe I just had really bad runs or I was lucky and had good runs on both Purge and WD, but Purge and Walking Dead had more intensity than RUN did (which is ironic because RUN should be the most intense out of the 3) I got more scares in those two and the energy was better. Purge still has problems and the sets are not that good, but the music, the lights and the energy of the house makes up for it big time. Purge reminds me a lot of the first Havoc. Walking Dead is getting boring as an IP since they are repeating the same stuff as before, but I got a lot more scares. I know Alice is not meant to be as intense of have the same kind of scares those other two have. But RUN should be like the Purge is. I wouldn't be surprised if Purge ends up becoming one of the favorites from the intensity alone.

wow, never thought about it that way. didn't mean to sound uncaring about the job actors do (Specially if the holes are set up that way) I guess I wished just that the boo holes were made easier to get out of. I definitely understand what you guys mentioned, sounds pretty hard

I am praying that they won't take them away. they are the best characters of the entire zone. I kind of wish they just made them official Photo ops, have them not walk around and just have them for pics the same way they did with Lady Luck and Fear (neither of them walked that much either) If they take them away I wonder if people would complain and get mad, Everyone is seeing Freddy and Jason on pics from the event, and imagine wanting to see them and they were gone... The general public would probably get pretty mad. instead of getting rid of them, they should understand people love these characters and just make a line to take pics with them lol

so is it safe to say that It would have been much much better to have had a house based on the SCREAM tv show???? Better than what we got? the tv show might be bad... but at least the house could have been really good? (Even with those weird new masks)
-
That is kind a of a problem that I see at HHN happen a lot. I wish all houses were like this. As far as my runs in houses went, the M&M house could be more like this, as well as Walking Dead and RUN. i really wish Monsters & mayhem was like this. some rooms were completely empty in some of my runs
-
those tubs of water should have been twice as long. Letting the walkers move from side to side. not sure if it would be hard for the actors. But those tubs could have looked really good if they were as big as the water tank from Saws and Steam that actor was not inside a tub obviously, but that water room was incredible. (I expected the Water walkers to be inside something like that) if those tubs were longer it would have been more believable, less obvious

it makes me laugh that Jason always has this crowd around him, every time i passed, there was a crowd of people taking pics of jason
-
they are running out of things to do. almost every room is something we saw before already, it really feels like a return house like awil
-
at first i did hate the location as well but i am starting to love this zone and the location it is in. It is still really crowded but somehow it works (the crowds kind of add to the "theater atmosphere")
-
it depends. That night a lot of people will be at parties (since it is saturday) but recently a lot of people choose to go on Halloween. Saturday is not a day that allows Frequent Fear pass or that has coca cola discounts, So it Might be not as crowded.... might be....
-
It would be kind of funny if you were at the park and somehow there was a real snake hiding in the bushes or something and it came out when you were walking by haha. (Don't ride the Potter ride, huge snake in 3D... Some of the Potter stores have snake robots in them, or props... )

Oh please, for the love of God, post whatever you take! the more the merrier

It is not even about being scary. The Alice House could have been so good if they did it the regular way. Imagine Uni building that world. The house still has elements that are cool. But just trying to imagine how great a full house would have been makes me kinda sad. (I am a big fan of Alice in Wonderland) There are so many things you can do with that property. so many different sets that could have been made. so many props... I know there is no point in crying over something that will never happen, what's done is done. I'm just saying maybe 3D houses should take a 5 year rest or something I had no idea there were this many (I never visited half of them) It seems like they used to skip a lot more before. (In 5 years we have only skipped once) from 2007 to 2011 nothing. that's interesting. I wonder why are they having a 3D house almost every year now.
-
well besides the In Between, what other 3D house was the best?? (Before the In Between was made?) Most of them tend to be "okay" to say the least. Not sure why they keep coming back (Unless it just happens to be a budget issue, are they cheaper to make than a full scale house? )
-
I dont really get the appeal of 3D houses in general... the In Between was really good but it feels like that was a fluke. they are kind of gimmicky, this could have been an amazing traditional house in the style of Scary tales. better sets, better props 3D feels like an excuse to make the same house over and over using the same fluorescent colors and hanging strings. When they do 3D houses there is a lot of skipping on good sets and stuff. (Why create a good set when they can just paint sets on the walls and hang some strings around) I know it sounds like I am being a huge hater and this house might be nice for some, but I would just prefer traditional houses than 3D painted houses. Or at least for Uni to change the effects they use and change their rooms a little more.
-
Sometimes I am baffled that they even tried the two parks event to begin with... I know we had less stuff back then (No Potter, less houses, less crowds) but it sounds like a nightmare to run the park at both events, and Expensive. Sometimes I can't believe they even tried it out. doesn't seem like it would be that great of an idea to begin with.

I would be happy if Catacombs makes it next year
