  1. When you say "official", do you mean via the official HHN website, twitter, etc., or do you mean officially you've been told behind the scenes? I doubt they'd come right out with a public confirmation that they're toning down the event, especially when they could change a bunch of stuff and the gp wouldn't notice anyways.
  2. Well... I'm going to bring up this revamp/gun discussion slightly. I didn't attend HHN in 2004 when the Ghost Town house took place, but I'm going to assume that at least some of the ghosts had old pistols? Is it conceivable that Ghost Town could be tossed because of this? Were there pistols in the original Ghost Town? I don't think this question is too out of line. For above... At 1 point the 5 houses left were possibly Ghost Town, Krampus, Halloween 2, 1 that had something to do with caverns and glyphs, and the mysterious Shall Not Be Named which I personally think is The Thing ( or maybe the Conjuring even though those in the know said no to it). I'm not sure what house Branded Hash would have replaced on the list, but all I could really think of was Scream or Paranormal Activity (yeah, I know it's not that), or... Fear the Walking Dead (imagine the uproar if that happened).
  3. I wonder if the tour is going to end in IoA. Usually (at least when we went) they let you wander off at the end of the tour to check out the park for the final couple hours.
  4. I got an order confirmation, but it doesn't mention anything about picking up my tour tickets at any specific location. Maybe when I pick up my other tickets at the ticket window they'll mention where we're supposed to go to meet up with the tour group?
  5. I was wondering the same things... If my small group is going to spend over $150 on a buffet, it better at least have some decent food. This is especially true considering there is a Golden Corral which charges something like $13 each and is just around the corner (walking distance).
  6. I thought it was The Thing... but then they brought up faith and churches which kinda threw me off. I also joked about it being The Preacher for the next 5 years since it's another AMC show. After seeing The Conjuring 2, there was a lot of talk about faith, the church, and the naming of a demon in it, so I suppose there is always that small possibility as well (although I think someone hinted at some point that the odds of The Conjuring were rather slim).
  7. Believe it or not... I think I see what he means about it being similar. They obviously don't look alike at 1st glance, but when you really look harder it comes through. For instance, if you take the frowny faced guy off this year's and move the other face to the center it sorta looks like Jack with no hair or teeth. If you look on the inside to the right of this year's version there is a chain which almost looks like the saw blade from last year. The outer framework or borders of both are sorta similar once you tweak the colors and angles just a little and take off the lights from last years. Like he mentions, last years version looked more like a sign, while this year isn't sign-like but more like an empty mirror frame or a warped picture frame (theatre moldings). The Halloween Horror Nights font is the same as far as I can tell. Universal Orlando is different though and the number logos are definitely different. Both have black in the background, however this year's has the padded room in the back which is really the only big difference to me that separates them. Oh yeah... and this year's has some sort of disclaimer at the bottom. (hopefully a warning about the possibility of getting dehydration while waiting in the lines this year).
  8. With their attempt to price people out of the express option they're only going to make the regular lines even worse than what they already are. I'm already starting to feel bad for those poor souls who will be standing there all night. "Now Mike's tweeting pandering gender garbage when it makes no logical sense." I'm telling you... It's Hillary brainwashing. Still can't book Unmasking the Horror Tours through the website (without a vacation package)?
  9. Someone over at OU made a graph showing the breakdown of pricing per day value. Rush of Fear with Express is by far the worst value per day at $27.27 as opposed to the best deal Frequent Fear Plus at only $4.12 per day. The Ultimate FF with Express ends up being only $19.35 a day. I feel like I'm kinda getting hosed with the RoF with Express, but unfortunately there really is no other option for me. There is no way I'm waiting in the regular lines when there is another option available. I expect that each year there will be price increases, but over a 36% increase on a popular ticket option?
  10. Yeah... The more I think on it, the more I realize how semi-ridiculous that price increase is. An $80 increase in price for RoF with Express is a huge increase percent-wise (over 36%) over the course of just 1 year. It looks like they really have decided to milk this event for every penny. With that much of a hike, they better put out top notch quality for every house and scare zone this year.
  11. C'mon... You honestly can look at that outfit and say it couldn't have possibly been done better? We all know critical is hard to please, but he's right in that regard, that outfit is pretty weak. Like you say though, opinions are like assholes.
  12. I'm still bummed that they tossed the Crow concept. Obviously they felt the need to use a female icon since we're more than likely going to have our 1st female President. Being a woman is really the trendy thing this year. And... As mentioned before, there is the release of Suicide Squad which looks to be quite awesome.
  13. lol $599.99 for Ultimate Frequent Fear with Express! How did you get to that website? I shouldn't have to dig to have the ability to purchase tickets. Why haven't they updated their main page with that info?
  14. I sorta agree, but I'll give it a chance. On point #4 though, he is definitely right. The design and color choices were pretty awful. The turquoise just looks bad in my opinion.
  15. I must also be slow... It says frequent fear pass tickets are on sale, but I don't see them on the main site yet. Is that an error? "Our amazing line-up of houses and scare zones—drawn from movies, TV shows, " TV Shows... plural... hmmm???
  16. Which site? Don't see it on the main site, Twitter, Youtube (trailer) or Facebook... Nevermind again... It's on Twitter. For some reason my computer is running slow.
  17. Well geez... I hope they don't just stuff her in a house and call it a day, that would be unfortunate.
  18. Since she uses much more dialogue than your typical scareactor, I think it would be amusing if she roamed the streets with a crew of maniacs and really got into people's faces. They could even set up scenes at different areas (sorta like they did with the purge and the zombie truck) and make it seem like they're killing random people as they move around. Instead of having a show on a stage, it could be spread out randomly throughout the park. Just an idea... ^ She's getting a house?
  19. Yeah so... Not sure how I feel about that decision. I wonder how they're going to incorporate her into the event??? Will she be getting her own show? Will she be leading a roaming horde? Will they just be using her to market the event? I wonder if tickets are going on sale tomorrow along with the announcement.
  20. Where does it say anything about it being a female on youtube? Care to post the link? Nevermind... I see it. Tomorrow, Universal Orlando Resort will unveil the horrifying force behind Halloween Horror Nights 26.It’s her turn…
  21. I think it would be tougher to pull off a Trick 'r Treat house. With limited space, it would probably be hard to blend the scenes together in a way that makes sense. Besides that, one of the best scenes (quarry/elevator) would be almost impossible to recreate exactly like in the movie.
  22. Well... At least we know for a fact that there is a megahouse, which barring some unforeseen force, it would mean that Shall Not is happening. Krampus is almost definitely coming to Hollywood. Those construction pics are an exact match to the house in the movie. What are the odds that they're getting it and Florida isn't? Though I'd prefer Trick 'r Treat, it would be disappointing if they got it and we didn't over here.
  23. I'm a little confused... So what would Branded replace on the list if it were to happen, or are you saying there could be (although unlikely) a 10th house?
  24. When I 1st saw the clue, I thought maybe that it could have been AHS or Scream. My thought was that maybe you were referring to Universal and someone hashing out a new deal to get the house. I really see no reason why Scream would need to be a megahouse though, assuming that was in fact the right clue choice for the megahouse.
  25. So does this mean it should now be called "unknown" as well or does the "shall not be named" still somehow match with whatever info you have at your disposal?
