    yes but taking away scarezones takes away from the event, scarezones are just as important as houses... everybody knows that... every normal haunted event has houses, and hhn always equals the houses with the number of scarezones which makes it pop. removing scarezones makes it just like everyone else which is not why i go every year. i go cuz its the nations biggest haunted attraction.

    I understand what everyone is saying about the negativity but I can't bring myself to believe that Universal would drop the ball on a large event like HHN. Have we considered that there may be a lack of scarezones because they have spent the money on a much larger surprise for us? Especially if these P&T rumors are true...

    if thats the reason they wont have scarezones because they want and spent all the money on penn and teller i will stop going to this event. thats ridulous and whoever made that stupid decision should be fired. if they wasted good money for good scarezones on two old washed up magicians who suck then i have lost all faith in this event.

    It is probably just my hopes and dreams getting me all excited, but perhaps this "one scarezone" could mean the whole park will be one big scarezone.

    or like the whole back of the park, i think thats a great idea and there has to be a possibility of that, I HOPE .

    Ok just hear me out...

    I got an ephipany in the chat room about the generic website we currently have and all the speculation about it. If you remember, we had a countdown in the President's room in the HR house and then BOOM. Maybe that was the clue for this year? I could be reading way too much into a coincidence. The 00:00 in the raised lettering of the generic website and the connection to the HR house gives some credit to the original rumored theme of End of the World for this year. I'm kinda suprised no one saw this before me, since I am definately not an in the know member.

    What do you think about the coincidence? Intentional or irrevelant due to all the changes?

    ands those numbers werent raised they just look that way

    And even then, the year could still be great, as I expect it to be. And even if it's not, it doesn't mean the year after won't be great.

    nobody goes to the event with the anticipation of next years event, you are there to experience it there and there only..then after its over comes next years

    Right meetings on new building/house theme.

    The new permits are Fire/Electric permits. While I don't remember these from pervious years. It's nothing big. Just more red tape to track and pay for.

    oh thank god, i was starting to worry myself... they will still have a scare zone where acid assault was right?

    We have "new" permits... but they are just FIR and ELE permits for various existing permits.

    Nothing spectacular... just stuff like "Add 1-pull station, 1 audio shunt and lighting control module, 1 wall mount horn/strobe."

    and no new buildings.

    However, I've heard meetings have been had and we should get a new permit soon.

    meetings about a new house location?! and that usual stuff like add pull station and audio shunt and control module, is that stuff that goes into the houses? or general park stuff

    I posted this several weeks back to the status update. I also had a movie thread about it in the movie section but after the failure of the site a lot of it got lost in the sauce. Weather the movie has anything to do with halloween horror nights... IDK.

    shows how much i pay attention... this kind of excites me... i hope and pray this comes true... has HHN ever done anythng to do with Silent Hill?

    Ahhh, the yearly Silent Hill speculation. Last year, there were some nurse clues around Nightengales and we went on for PAGES about how it was Surely a Silent Hill house. At one point, coupled with some room names from Saws N Steam, there was a whole videogame themed event speculated because of the perceived Bioshock tie in.

    Then again, we DID get a Big Daddy-ish apperance at the end of that house...so maybe that was throwing a bone to all those speculating/drooling over the idea...so maybe a Silent Hill house isn't out of the realm of possibility,

    Better be a ton of hot nurses if that's the case :)

    saws and steam was (indirectly) based on bioshock, any video game player got that feeling of rapture when u walked up to the beginning facade, also heard interstellor terror was loosely based on dead space which i would have loved to experience.... i also firmly believe zombiegeddon was loosely based on left 4 dead. in some ways and parts.

    i have a funny feeling all this mishap with the houses and everything is just a way to f with us... i just cant get it out of my head that they actually know what theyr doing and already have had everything planned out and arent pressed for time... who knows, was the ss44 permit filed specifically for HHN use?

    I know thats a good positive attitude,

    but is not fair, we might get 6 houses, and bad scarezones, (well not bad but, scarezones with not a lot of props or anything, scarezones like Nightmaze

    of course people will come, HHN wont go anywhere, I guess we had 6 houses before, it just feels so wrong, like going back we don't know anything for sure, we might get the 8 houses or something (which we wont) just feels sad, like, things were going so good, yeah is not the End of the World or anything, but is like taking a step back, which is not great

    I'll say one thing this "New Era of Darkness" seems to be sucking so far lol. maybe they should have left things alone the way they were before FEAR lol.

    I wonder what type of house was going in that building being demolished, I wonder if they will let us see it next year or will they Can it for good,

    i agree 100%, altho i think the first yr (hhn 20) was my favorite yr so far (i dont have many to choose from) but compared to the past 2 yrs and hearing everything of this yr, im extremely dissappointed... they need to step their game up, be proffesional and get their stuff together. but who knows, i know i work better under pressure than when it is planned ahead, so maybe thats what they need but from what im hearing about lack of space, house locations, themes, it sounds bad. im scared its gonna be dissappointing this year

    Tents are already being used for houses as well as 22, Parade cant due to the Superstar paraade floats occupying the remaining space of that building, 23's been speculated upon but the general consensus is that its unlikely to be used.

    WHY NOT? hasnt two houses been in ss 22 and 23 for the past 2 yrs?
