  1. a DE SZ would'n't decause DE use darkness as a scare thruogh out the house, can't do that outside very well, maybe were the pumkin grove was. there were 2 things that i didn't like in DE, first the whole darkness you couldn't see anything till it was right in front of you, same reason I didn't like Terror mines. second the dead spot right in the middle there was a long halway with nothing hapening, no scareactor, no props nothing. during the legendary truth thing on the last night I was talking with one of the creative guys during the Q&A mingle, and he said there was suppose to be a guy in the ceiling in that halway laying on a sheet of plastic, but the fire people said no the glass couldn't be there for fireman access in case of a fire. so the area stayed empty. they should have left the hole and built some kind of platform with a guy on it, add air holes in the hallway, or a light effect, something that is why i didn't like this house that year, it fell equal to BM house in the jaws que.

as I have heard once in a movie "Opions are like A**holes, we all have them"

and I think like BMs house, DE was trying to recreate the web site story, but you couldn't see so you missed it and the mojority of GP don't follow the web site like we all do.

Actually there was a Zombie in the ceiling until the last couple of weeks. His name was Chris (half the time at least). There was also a Zombie in the floor in that hallway, but that one was only a dummy.

  2. No more Kitty chase :(

With the Vault's future being uncertain, I decided that it would be best to bring my sig over here so people could see it. It also fits in perfectly with my own version of 11 of 13, and of course Cody did such a wonderful job making it for me.

Just getting caught up here, Brooke, your due date is my birthday!

Hopefully Brooke's child and you will have the same birthday!

Dr. Jimmy has been going through and bumping all of the intro threads, which makes it easier for me to dig through the ones I've already replied to.

I saw that there were quite a few new members that I had neglected to welcome, including some that were good friends, so I felt it necessary to rectify that. I don't want anybody to think that I'm not happy to see them here!

  3. I could see that like out of no where their's a musical number for no reason what so ever and show a woman in her 30's with a butch haircut with coach gear on as the background dancers dress like in High School jock clothes...

Maybe a joke about Modern Warfare or two

They always sing and dance for no reason, in fact they've even used that as a joke "Now's the time in the show when we all dance for no reason." If they use Glee, then they can dance for no reason for a reason! Plus they will dance to "Don't Stop Believing" and end by all making the "loser" L sign which is cool.

  4. It's CINdy NOT SINdy. :P Any ways yes that sounds like a cool idea i hope we get something like that.

I actually have a niece whose name is Cynthia and throughout her childhood and adolescence she kept changing the way she spelled "Cindy" at least a dozen times.

One day she was Sindi another she was Cyndi, then Sin-D, then Cyndy, etc. etc.

So if the girl wants to play with the way her name is spelled, let her do it I say! (Just don't make her mad, or she may sic her toys on you!)

  5. The permits are now available. They do not have code names. There are seven permits, but one is for Soundstage 23 and one is for Soundstage 22. 23 most likely will contain two houses as in the past, and so we have 8 houses, which we already knew because TJ told us this.

Here are the permits posted at Chad's HHN Rumors site:

    permits.png

The code words are not available at all due to the new law, called "The Potter Law" which restricts access to theme park plans and blueprints. Thus we may not get them this year. Damn you, Potter!!!

  6. Tomorrow is June 1st, and if we are on the same schedule as last year, we should see the HHN 19: Ripped from the Silver Screen website go down and be replaced with the Archival Site.

This normally doesn't tell us much about the upcoming event, BUT this year is supposedly a retrospective year, so it may actually contain lots of stuff we will see at HHN XX after all!

  7. I agree Charles, I don't see the construction tour happening because of insurance regulations. I'd love to know where someone got this idea; it's interesting to see where rumors start.

Not to go off-topic or anything, but, KIM!!! It's about time you started posting here again!

P.S. I couldn't help but notice that Amy Pond, er, I mean moonfall (she does look like her!) has a tree in her sig! Coincidence?

  8. Based on the best rumors floating around, I now think I've got a decent picture of what to expect at HHN XX. Of course this is merely my speculation based on a lot of hearsay so keep a salt shaker nearby.

But, this is one example of what I think a typical house this year may be like:

    House name: Carnival of Carnage.

Like most houses at HHN recently it has 10 rooms.

1st room: Introduction - Jack, Chance, Tiny and Dr. Pinetti welcome us to the Carnival.

2nd room: Bloodbath - The vampire rave possibly incorporating the Troupe Macabre.

    3rd room: Thing assimilation.

    4th room: Dead Silence.

5th room: Home for the Holidays.

6th room: Camp Blood with Jason.

    7th room: Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

    8th room: Dreamwalkers with Freddy.

9th room: Jack's funhouse leading into the 10th and final room where Jack, Chance and many of the main scareactors from previous rooms scare you one last time as you exit the Carnival.

I think that all the houses will follow similar patterns as this, each representing a "big year" from the past with the rooms of the house representing the houses from that year.

  9. Thank you! Brainstorming is fun! Another of my favorite speculations is Cindy killing Jack and unifying all of the souls of the children he murdered. They take over the event and all of the houses and scarezones are their devious and deadly 'playdates'.

    :D

    Mae

What if the Jack-in-the-Box that Jack's body had originally been stuffed into turned out to be one of Cindy's toys all along?

  10. I bet that if Bloody Mary comes back that she will be the "host" of the event to help us REFLECT on the past years and bring everything that we feared the most and haunt us with Jack, the caretaker, the director and the story teller and possibly the first house that HHN ever had!:D Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary!:)

Although it is as much as a certainty as anything that we now know about HHN XX (which isn't much) that Jack, Caretaker, Director and Usher will likely be back it is a little less certain about Cindy, Storyteller and especially Bloody Mary. Why is this? Is there some sort of sexism here?

Anyway as for Mary, copyright issues aside, the only clue that suggests she may well return is the fact that Legendary Truth has been confirmed for this year. LT was all about Bloody Mary in 2008 and the whole backstory of the organization is all tied in with Boris Shuster's investigations of Dr. Agana. So I think that at the very least, we will see some references to her this year and how her story ties in with the mysterious city of Carey, Ohio and perhaps the other Icons as well.

Hopefully, they will bring her back in a big way, as Reflections of Fear was a house that had so much potential that was never realized. I really want to see a Bloody Mary house done right. It would also be interesting if as I suggested in an earlier post that certain Icons appeared together in conflict with each other. Imagine The Storyteller and Bloody Mary going head to head in a war of tales, fables of Terra Cruentus vs. Urban Legends with us caught in the middle!

  11. Woah, The Director and The Usher should not go together in the same house! All Nite Die-In was a way better house than Silver Screams, and The Director is way cooler than The Usher. Thats what I think. :)

Oh? What if they were in the same house trying to kill each other?

And we were caught in the middle of their nightmare movie war?

  12. if they are bringing back houses, I would like to see Dead Silence done again.

I have a gut feeling that we won't see any houses based on movies this year, they did that very heavily last year. I strongly suspect that we will only see houses based on the past Icons. Of course they may use some movie ideas in houses for the Director and the Usher.

  13. Sorry for my short hand :)

there are two seperate cases. the "USF MEL'S DINER BLD 86" project Case #: SCN2010-00232

and a project called "Simpsons Project" Case #: SCN2010-00255

Also (now that the site is working again)

    USF ROOFTOP PYRO INSTALLATION

I don't know if any of this has anything to do with HHN... my guess is probably not. While the EARTHQUAKE one could have been... We would also see soundstages and parade building permits as well.

Well that clears that up at least.

Actually, none of these so far are likely to involve HHN. Regardless of how clever the code-names will be in obscuring the actual theme of the houses, they still must accurately describe the work to be done. Therefore they will clearly state they are for a temporary structure to be built for a special event. And may even name that event as HHN, which I believe they did last year even with the code-names.
