  1. In my opinion Silent Hill is an ok horror genre game and movie but they could have gone with so many other titles such as the F.E.A.R. series, Fallout series, or even the original Resident Evil series. But I hope that Silent Hill will be good house with a few good scares.

  2. When it comes the type of employees you get at Universal it is truely random and the same thing goes when you pass through the security bag checkpoint before entering CityWalk as well as the Security checkpoint at the gate. It is also messed up that if you get into the park before 3pm or 4pm and are waiting at the staging/holding area you are never checked. Do they really need the extra checkpoint at the gates? No especially when you might no be checked if you arrive earlier in the day and are already in the park. It would have been better just to have the checkpoint at the CityWalk checkpoint and be done with it or at least have it uniformed for everyone.

  3. 2010 had the bad luck to follow an amazing 2009 show and, to be honest, was a lot worse earlier in the season. Some of the jokes were tweaked, and a lot of the actor's timing improved (especially "The Situation's")

That said, I'm wondering if the relative obscurity of some of the subject matter is starting to hit the show. In 2006--the high water mark for me--EVERYONE knew who Jack Sparrow and Magneto were, and I imagine 90% of the crowd knew the Peanut Butter-Jelly song. This year, Black Swan and Anthony Weiner and Rooster Cogburn might be a little too off the radar for the typical HHN crowd. It makes me feel old, but some of the Gen X references seem to go over the crowd's head, as well (see below).

Just spitballing ideas here, because this year the crowd seems really divided. Some friends of mine love it, some say it's the worst ever.

BTW, noticed this weekend the show has been tweaked...

The True Grit scene has been punched up with various Big Lebowski references ("The dude abides" worked--others did not). They also dropped the whole Ponzi scheme aspect of it, which is a shame IMO, and the whole thing probably was cut maybe 30 seconds.

The whole "She just ate two McGriddles and the rings of Saturn" bit is gone. Three shows over two nights, didn't appear once. Hurts the show plot-wise, what plot there is anyway, but another 30 seconds or so shaved off the show.

Coco likes to ad lib, but they seem to have new permanent variations on his and Nikki Minaj's lines. I thought this was one of the better scenes already, not sure why they felt the need to tweak it.

Smurfette's "Is that a Snork?" line was cut. I'm guessing went over the heads of everyone under 35.

Overall, it reflects an attempt to answer criticism, which you have to respect. They're trying to improve the show throughout the month.

I have to agree with some of the lines being cut hurting the show abit but the one being over the heads of everyone under 35 is incorrect. I would say under the age of 25 would be correct since I remember them being on when I was a kid and I'm 31. Hell even my sister remember that show and she's 25.

  4. If you ever need anything there's first aid in the park. They're pretty helpful with headaches, migraines, etc. :)

That is true. But they don't carry all the meds for all situation. Just the basic meds no prescription meds. So the in-park first aid office can be a good spot to hit for the basic. Still messed up that they told her to get rid of the meds that are allowed.

  5. I'm not really sure what the medicine policy for HHN is. I'm on prescriptions and have to carry a pill case with me daily (I take medicine three times a day, morning and night). So I had to take it into the park with me. My regular pill container was empty since I'd finished the medicine for the week before I got into the park.

However I am prone to bad migraines and carry Execedrine Migraine with me at all times in a smaller case.

I was pulled aside and I calmly explained that I suffer from migraines and the pills clearly had "E"s marked on them for excerdrine. I also kept a tums (clearly marked) and an imodium (in a plastic square, also clearly marked).

They even examined my EMPTY case.

They proceeded to tell me my medicine had to be trashed or put in a locker outside.

Where does the park warn you outside that medicine must be thrown away or put in lockers before you go through the metal detectors??? I had to dump everything and Excedrine Migraine isnt cheap. God forbid I get a migraine during the night, all hell would have broken loose.

Help please?? I don't want this happening to me again nor do I want to have to dump all my prescriptions out next time my container is full for the week (EXPENSIVE MEDICINE mind you).

The security person that told you that must have had something up their you know what. Sounds like you were cherry picked. It really comes down to who you get when you're going through the check points. I remember one time I had to take out my cell phone from its case because the person doing the check wanted me to when it was unnecessary since the case it clear and see through. There was another time I had to take a small camera out of a tight camera bag as well. Both times the person told me it was because I might have a weapon in either one. Since every security person does something different. You should not have had to throw out your meds and should have demanded a supervisor from both Universal and the Security group as Universal does not state that person meds cannot be brought in. I have take some meds with me into the park with no problem at all. But again it really depends on who you get.

  6. This is the first year we're going to be doing both Universal and HHN on the same day. We normally do HHN the night before, and then the rest of the parks the next day. Since we already bought express, we dont want to bother with the Stay and Scream pass as well.

So my question is, do we have to leave Universal and then queue back up outside? Or can we stay in the park somewhere until HHN opens? Thanks!!

From what I remember people with the Stay and Scream pass or that has a HHN event ticket and is already in the park will be able to stay at a waiting area. The waiting area is usually where the Blues Brothers show and the Finnegan's Bar and Grill is.

  7. You'll be allowed access to the kid zone area which will include The Forsaken and In Between, once the park opens you'll be allowed to cross over to the rest of the park.

You can do The Forsaken and The In Between first since they open at 5:00pm and Nevermore: The Madness of Poe which opens at 5:45pm. Between 5:00pm and 6:00pm no express passes can be used for any of the three houses that will be open. Plus you are suppose to get reserved access to the first showing of Bill & Ted's Excellent Halloween Adventure without using express. But the crew working will give you different answers depending on who you ask. Last Saturday they had most of use annual passholders with express attending the event wait in the holding area for Bill & Ted for about 45 minutes telling us that no express can be used only to have others attending the event as well getting there 20 minutes before they began to let us in using express to by pass those of use that were waiting. So take what ever each individual crew member tells you with a grain of salt.

  9. If your talking about Mobile Terror then that should be up when the event officially begins on Friday. But then again they do have a mobile app that will be released on Friday that will provide this information as well as a includes a map. Guess we have to wait an see. I know that they did a test about a month ago.

  10. Something worse than "not having roofs" is an employee with a staff shirt and flashlight informing you to "keep walking" or "pick up the pace." That is far more damaging to the illusion or your suspension of disbelief than a roof is.

I remember one time I was in one of the houses and an op pointed their flashlight in my face and told me to keep moving but there was backup since a large group had stop a few rooms ahead causing a line. I responded by tell him where should I go since there is a line that is stopped or moving slowly. There really isn't much reason for the ops to distract those of us following the rules and enjoying the houses.
