Halloween Horror Nights 26 Discussion
Legacy replied to Mark M.'s topic in Halloween Horror Nights 26
Unknown is in Shrek. Shall Not Be Named is in a soundstage. And a random scareactor wouldn't know what was this year when the houses and marketing plan weren't close to finalizing. -

Old Mr. Peters wants the gold for himself, so he's relied on the myth of the Quivira Specter to scare us away... If he's right. -

We don't know what the creature is, but this is basically what we can expect. -

I'll explain it once it's revealed, but I think it will make sense once people know what it is. -

Here's the problem with that argument, from a business perspective. Can you prove it? Can you prove that the people who started coming FOR TWD will stay without TWD? And what about making more fans to replace those who eventually fade away? Because they will fade away. And only a small percentage will fade away because of the product itself. What we (as fans) tend to forget is that event is NOT FOR US. It's a massive, multi-million dollar investment designed for the sole purpose of making money. And unless it can be proven that Universal can make as much money WITHOUT big name IPs (which all evidence points to the contrary), they will continue to NEED big name IPs. -

AHS is in the same boat as Scream: It's an IP with a tangled legal history for Universal that would make it difficult to bring. -

There's no churches in the megahouse... Yet. -

Not knowing how the queues will play out, I suspect the queue for Tent 3 will not go so near the stage to make filming a concern. Also, the house will be enclosed and will have its own audio running so any noise bleed will be minimal. It'll work fine. -

The new tent is going between Fear Factor and MIB, for reference. -

I'm fairly certain they wouldn't waste a megahouse on something they didn't have the ultimate faith in... -

The requeling is not an IP. It's confirmed as an original by Mike. -

Which is basically what people should expect for our requel. Even if it is an identical layout, the modern effects will make a completely new house even for the savants who can remember everything about it. -

I wish I knew something shareable about the streets. I've heard some stuff that, if true, would be inspired though. -

Because something will have to give in regards to the crowds and scareactor safety. And financially, it makes much more sense to just limit street scares to actors on stages than limiting access to guests while cramming the street with scareactors. I firmly believe that, in the next 5 years, scarezones as we know them will be drastically different.
