  1. Really wanted to go this year, seeing as it's my last in Orlando, but I don't want Universal to think that me spending my dollars on their event means I want to see more houses based on other IPs. Hopefully early reviews will be positive at least.
  2. Unless their official Facebook press team is severely misinformed, that isn't going to happen. It directly states that The Walking Dead is taking over the entire street theming on the post they made earlier this morning.
  3. The problem I'm having with the event as it's been announced so far is that, essentially, if zombies aren't your cup of tea, you're out of luck. That imaginative spark and diversity that has made Horror Nights so special to me is slowly disappearing. The Walking Dead has always been about the relationships between the characters and their personal struggles, which made it translate so poorly last year in my opinion. When you strip away the drama, it's just a bland zombie faux-horror. Here's hoping they pull something interesting out of the bag for the other four or five houses, rather than more film or television IPs.....
  4. I'm hoping that all of the houses revealed so far are just a ploy, and at a later date, this year's icon tears through the website, revealing houses that are actually fear-inducing. I would also enjoy a show where Alice Cooper gets burned at the stake. Seriously, whoever thought that Alice Cooper and Penn and Teller are remotely scary has some screws loose. You know what's scary? Walking through a pitch black mine filled with alien-like creatures, with only one faltering light. Or an insane asylum full of escaped prisoners. Or clowns. Or werewolves. Not washed out old entertainers.
  5. Hoping that they pull something interesting out of the bag sometime soon. I've been every year since Terra Cruentus, but unfortunately my group is considering going to Thirteenth Gate this year what with the current house reveals. I think Silent Hill could be great and I'm probably underestimating Alice Cooper's house, but last time I watched Walking Dead the show had devolved into a zombie-drama. Penn and Teller sounds awful, so I'm banking on the last three house reveals to bring us in. Hopefully they won't all be announced on Facebook...
  6. I'm glad to see I'm not the only person disappointed with this year, I was worried that I was just being overly pessimistic. The houses are great, but everything feels so disjointed and unlike Horror Nights to me. It's missing something, and I feel like it has to do with the scarcity of anything remotely scary or horror related in the park. There's no feeling of immersion because everything outside of the houses is spread out and the areas of the park in between the scarezones have no decoration whatsoever. It seems as if they didn't try very hard this year.
  7. I have a question about the new Scream Early addition. I've already bought tickets for Horror Nights, but they're Annual Passholder tickets. So I apparently can't purchase the Scream Early tickets because they have to be purchased in combination with a Florida Resident ticket. If I go to the gates to buy a Scream Early, will they give me one, even though the tickets aren't Florida Res. tickets?
