I got a hoodie. I like it. In ten years of attending HHN, this is exactly the third piece of merchandise I've purchased. (I bought shirts in 2005 and 2007.) I like the simple design, and I LOVE that it's a zip hoodie instead of a pullover.

I was fortunate to help represent Nightmares at the media event last night. Here's a peek into our night -

Nothing in Sting Alley. I walked by New York, and the stage that is set up there was being used for a band. I think it's just there for RTU. I couldn't check to see if the 707 was repaired because there were too many people sitting on the steps listening to the band.

September 10 The rats have definitely gotten some wear being out in the rain. Adds to the look. [ My son liked the fish. He wanted me to get them for him. This last picture is focused on the buildings in the background instead of the bats. But, to give the size some perspective, my son is 4 years old and 39" tall. The bats look almost as big as he is.

I like the concept of Lady Luck and am very happy that we have an original icon and original theme. Based upon the BK ads and the vision in my head, I did expect Lady Luck to be about 25 years younger.

I originally resisted going because I didn't want to ruin the magic either. I have gone the past couple of years towards the end of the event after I've been through all the houses many times. That way, I get to pick up on all the details, but I already know enough about the house to prevent it from being spoiled.

The separately sold express tickets are only good for the date you select when you buy them.

Demon Cantina in 2005. I just loved that house. I went through something like 30 times and managed to get the same cast 25 of those times. I felt like I had a bond with that cast. And the final night in 2008.

The general public does not know who Cindy is. She is not a recognizable icon outside of this group.

When I first saw the update, I thought of Chicago in the 1920s with Al Capone and flappers. I really don't think that any icons will be coming back. They don't seem to fit, and Cindy has never been a mainstream icon any way. I highly doubt the average HHN attendee even knows her name, so I don't see why marketing would push it.

Finnegans because they have a variety of booze. I'm not a big pregamer.... I get drunk early, and I have a tendency to want to sleep on benches, and I leave that to the pros! (:

Me too! I did a lot of going out and looking at props before the event in 2005, and when I got there on employee preview, it kinda took some of the fun away. Now, I don't look at construction pics, and I avoid the parks after September 1 so I won't know...
