  1. If nintendo were to replace Marvel/Toon, we could actually have a viable reason to operate both parks for the Halloween Season. Mrs. Seuss probably wouldn't immediately reject the idea of Seuss Landing becoming halloween-oriented if it was family oriented. Warner Bros could loosen their grip on HP if it was family oriented halloween. Throw 'em a bone and maybe build some kiddie mazes.

Just something to compete with Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. That's probably the closest we'd get to a "Nintendo in HHN" scenario.

But for this year, HHN25, Nintendo will probably only show up in Bill and Ted's show.

Wouldn't Family halloween event with Nintendo be a separate ticket or part of the park admission?

  2. That queue line is probably my favorite. C'mon, you don't think walking through the area with the Barney statue is scary?

Seriously though, I do find it to have a sorta surreal aspect to it that is kinda cool. Usually whenever we go through, there is no line over there because we use express. As you walk through, it's dark and deserted. You're surrounded by children friendly statues and decor, but you're on your way to a haunted attraction. It's definitely weird.

Which do you think would make a good maze from these three in Nintendo? Bayonetta, Fatal Frame or Eternal Darkness Sanity's Requiem?

  3. Mother Brain from Metroid should be there too.

    And maybe this guy... http://static.giantbomb.com/uploads/original/9/95666/1892493-link_ganon_legend_of_zelda.png

Of all the advances in technology over the years, I'm pretty sure video games have made the largest leaps. Sometimes when I play on my PS4 all I can do is shake my head and laugh. My first gaming system was the original Atari 2600 and I actually also played Pong.

The closest with Horror Games by Nintendo are Bayonetta (Platinum Games), Eternal Darkness: Sanity Requiem (Silicon Knights), and Fatal Frame (Koei Techmo).

  4. I'll toss in 2 more Nintendo greats that could actually be used to make houses. I'm not sure if they're household names, but Maniac Mansion and Shadowgate were 2 great games that with a little bit of imagination could be brought to life.

I wrote the Nintendo comment above before your post Legacy, I just didn't click post yet because I was watching a Shadowgate gameplay video on youtube and feeling nostalgic.

Wishful Thinking - I wish the whole list of the HHN lineup wasn't dumped on us in April.

    Maniac Mansion-Lucasfilms Games

    ShadowGate-Mindscape/Kemco

  5. Actually, now I have to backtrack on my statement, LOL. I think Nintendo would be up for allowing Fatal Frame or whatever horror franchises they have, I just don't think they'd go for using LoZ or like Earthbound, their series that are mostly considered "kid-friendly" (Of course LoZ and Earthbound's kid friendliness in whole is debatable. )

So far in Nintendo's line-up Bayonetta, and Fatal Frame are the only Horror Games.

  6. Besides what I mentioned earlier, I think now that Universal has Nintendo, they're going to want to keep it family-friendly, which is sort of a shame, since I do agree there is the material. Remember Nintendo is presumably going where KidZone is, so even if Nintendo's cool with it, the "higher-ups" would probably veto it, due to that fact.

Nintendo could just let Universal make a Bayonetta maze only since thats like the only Mature game made by platinum games, and publish by Nintendo.

  7. When The Simpsons Ride first opened, they planned to do an overlay for the ride but there was a dispute with some of the voice actors. Since then, they haven't done anything with the Springfield section at HHN. It's lite up to all hell in Orlando and that's about it.

Would've been easier if they replace the queue videos in The Simpsons Ride with clips of Treehouse of Horrors episodes.

  8. That's something I've been thinking about lately. This year could either be a REAL anniversary year, where they go full force and celebrate the amazing original creations that made Halloween Horror Nights' past so amazing. Or it could end up just being another IP centric, Walking Dead year with a "25th Anniversary!" tagline on it. How can it be an anniversary year when everything revolves around TWD again, like the past 3 years. I just can't see another Walking Dead commercial during an anniversary year. If that ends up being the case, then I'm done, and I totally blame Comcast. I want a real anniversary year, with advertisements/posters with icons and original content on it. Then, sure the IPs can be listed on the bottom. Who knows. I hope I'm not disappointed, which I'm usually not, but when they say it's going to be an anniversary year, I want to experience one. For real.

Would you be ok if they made a maze based off the spinoff Fear the Walking Dead instead of The Walking Dead of this season?

  9. I hope we just share Freddy vs Jason, Insidious and TWD. I don't want both parks to share original concepts, and I have a feeling we may be getting Alice in Wonderland 3D as well. I know both will have completely different scenes and will be executed differently, but it still makes going to both events a little less fresh.

Instead of Alice, I hope we get the Krampus house most of us want.

With Alice why not based off Alice Madness Returns?
