I mean Murdy has really said much about it, the announcement  just kinda was thrown out there and it wasn't even an announcement, rumors can be rumors and he's even said that he doesn't even look at the lists of rumors that go out, he's too busy working on the event itself, so I mean Asylum and Coven might be mixed into Roanoke if not all three, then again, it might just be Roanoke but I hear what you mean, Roanoke had its moments, so we just gotta wait and see in June possibly which is not far. Again with the Blumhouse thing, I mean I love the Purge but its too much, I mean over here we got it twice once in 2014 as a zone and 2015 as a house but Hollywood gets every year in a way and its crazy, I feel like the "Blumhouse" idea might just be Purge but in its own haunted house somewhere imo. This year all we can say is that its about topping what last year had to offer, whatever it is, I mean obviously Shining will be coming to the event after the leakage but I mean they have to wait, they have to wait till the right time comes, so that's where June comes in because over here in Orlando we got our first announcement with all three AHS seasons, in Hollywood, they haven't done a full announcement yet which means, AHS might be released last because AHS is the Walking Dead of these coming years which is not bad, if Murdy is keeping different seasons for each year that would work as well if that's what he's doing because if he is doing Roanoke this year, then next year he might pull off the three houses with the third being based off the current season of AHS going on this year, so we gotta watch out for that, Murdy is very sneaky, I mean "The Big Chill", "Charles", etc. you can tell Shining is coming and after the leak, he kind of stayed quiet about it, I would too if that happened, so both coasts are working together and separate this year, we just gotta keep our fingers crossed that we get an announcement sometime the beginning of june or middle of it, regardless its gonna be quite a ride this year :D

It's gonna happen, we might just have to wait till June for something to be concrete but after the leak, it reminded me of how the Halloween fan website leaked the house for the fans out here in Orlando and it was just crazy lol, so I feel like The Shining is going to be the first big announcement for Hollywood and the second big announcement for us out here.

The Thing has already been at the event twice I believe, I don't think it'll come back for quite sometime, although, it did look sick and Murdy did have a lot of fun during the behind the screams creating it, so if there's a possibility in the future, they might do it but based off the original film.

Your thinking of the prequel. The Thing that had Kurt Russell never came to HHN Hollywood.

If King is really on board, wouldn't it make perfect since to have an "It" house too? With the movie dropping a week before opening it, I think this would be the first time in event history were the movie and house are open side by side for the duration of HHN. Dracula Untold opened after HHN started so that one doesn't count and most of the other houses we get are a year later once the movie is on DVD.

You know King has to closely follow the event. Maybe after all these years, he is seeing how the event just keeps growing and growing and very difficult to translate IP's are being turned into amazing houses. Maybe he finally has enough trust in Universal Art and Design that they will do his properties justice so he agreed to finally come on board. Plus, this might get the younger crowd interested in his books which would be a win for him.

I just can't see them even attempting to risk an IP without getting the TRUE IP holder on board anymore. After all the issues with Bloody Mary and then Scream, I can't see them wanting to go behind King's back. They WANT to work with him so bad. Going behind his back and saying "oh, its based on the movie, not the book" would be so insulting King would never listen to a word Universal had to say to him again.

They would still need Carrie as well.

Well now its being said by the show's creator that Murder House & Coven are tied together as well as Asylum being tied with Freakshow because of Pepper's appearance in the Asylum and Roanoke is tied with both Murder House and Coven, because witchcraft is somewhat involved in a way. I'm very excited for this year's maze, it sounds pretty cool, the way they set up the video really has me intrigued on what scares we could be seeing, I mean I could see in Coven, we'll definitely see some voodoo creatures, zombies that were conjured up that were featured in one of the episodes, Asylum, you could basically make it feel like Shadybrook, inmates just running amok and Jessica Lange's character and the others coming at you from every corner as well, as well as the subjects in the forest chasing you or something, that would be cool to see as well. :) Roanoke, I'm just starting to watch and its kind of ehhh, I mean I could see they were really trying to make a documentary type horror story, it looks cool and after hearing many people didn't like it, I feel like HHN will be doing their best to explain the season better in the house than how it was on tv.

There's a bit of Asylum in the season finale of Roanoke if you count Lana Winter's appearance.

That actually sounds neat. I used to read my fair share of creepypastas a few years ago, and definitely remember Candle Cove. Will certainly check that out.

That said, creepypastas are full of original content I'd love to see Universal pull from.

Most likely is going to be Candle Cove since Universal owns Syfy.

Couldn't say, haven't seen either. Don't watch a whole lot of TV unless it's on Netflix or gets a ton of publicity and my friends say it's good, I'll bootleg it. Cable prices, man. :x

Well the first season of The Magicians is on Netflix. Channel Zero not sure if it's on Hulu. As for Channel Zero it's a Horror Anthology tv series based off Creepypastas the first season is based off Candle Cove, and the upcoming second season will be based off No-End House.

After missing last year, I'm planning on going HAM this year. Planning on doing every night with a FFP+. Hit the houses the first couple weekends and spend the rest of the time in the street with my DSLR and a fistful of booze, people watching.

Wishful thinking? Stranger Things is really the only series I'd really care to see at the moment. Looking forward to their original house lineup. I think something scary along the lines of Norse mythology would be awesome. Zombie vikings/dragons would be dope.

What about well Syfy's Channel Zero & The Magicians if The Magicians count as Horror.

Are you saying like a "Best of Stephen King" maze?

Yeah Carrie being the first of the compilation maze because it's Stephen King's first story, The Shining would be the second part of the maze, and It would be the final part due to the upcoming remake. As for the mental hospital controversy last year with Knotts & AHS Asylum Universal could set it in 2012 were Briarcliff Manor is close & abandoned with Bloody Face jumpscaring guest.
