  1. That's just insane, awesome job as always.
  2. Some get scared, some don't. I'm not an easy scare at all, I've RARELY been scared at any HHN. To me the detail and length of a house is what I like. From that standpoint though, I do want the scare.. not for me, but others. I love to see others around me get scared out of there minds, and try to run, hide, or walk backwards because there afraid to move forward anymore. With that said, I hope they never get rid of the scare factor. It's the actors that make the house and/or scarezone.. if there not into the character they play, it's not going to work. SA's have to feel it, and feed off the ones they can scare.. not just stand there to say "I worked HHN", or chat with there buddies behind the walls. A&D can only give them the playground to play in.
  3. I posted this over at the Vault (not the image, but the message), but I think it'll get lost over there. Do you think LG will have any control over the design of this house seeing that it's in Las Vegas as well? Will they let A&D have design control over it for California and Orlando? and then whoever it does the LV one? We know that the NLC houses had different designs in California and Orlando. I guess it's up to LG if they want 3 different versions of of the 2009 SAW House. Hopefully they let A&D do there thing.
  4. With "SAW" being in the survey from last year, this could be the year. I'll quote the above interview for those who don't want to click or haven't seen it already. Interesting. Is UNI signing a contract just for SAW, or is something else in the works for other Lionsgate films? I'd love to see a SAW house, and maybe Jigsaw around.. but could this work as one entire theme with Jigsaw as an Icon? If they go the 17 route and use 'movies', LG and/or Classic UNI stuff.. they might as well do it right and use the Director as the Icon. This might be a good move on UNI's part to try to lure more people to HHN in these slow times. Like 17 did, this will appeal to the Mass Audience/Horror Fan's rather than mostly the local/UNI fans. Jack & Chance can get married for the 20th Anniversary.
  5. To try and spark some speculation discussion and encourage posting, I'm going to repost the survey that was sent out last year before HHN asking what themes we like/dislike. I'm not saying ANY of these will have anything to do with HHN 19, but UNI must of gave them some thought. If it's Halloween Horror Nights, It must be SAW From the mind of Stephen King Halloween Horror Nights of the Living Dead Halloween Horror Nights: Once Upon a Nightmare So, do you think any of these might have an impact on HHN 19? IMO, the last one was pretty much 18 just without "Jill" and with Bloody Mary... But could of been somewhat of the "wedding" rumor, just with Chance. The word "Classic" could mean so many things, Classic Movies (Stephen King, Zombies, UNI Movies)?, Classic Characters/Icons?, Classic HHN's? ... Speculate.
  6. Before HHN 18, everyone seemed to want another Scary Tales and Body Collectors. Now that them two made there return at HHN 18, what is your wish list for a House return/sequel? I'd like to see the following; Hellgate Prison The Skool Demon Cantina Ghost Town
  7. I'll add another possibility. Octomom, with her being in the news and talk shows so much lately, its a big story of 2009.
  8. I was comparing cameras earlier with all the ones talked about between here and the vault (DX3, D90, 5DMKII, 40D 50D). I saw that Suike suggested the Canon 5DMKII to you.. so I went to DXOMark and did some research. Have you considered the Nikon D700? Great reviews and REAL close to the D3, with a little better Low-Light ISO setting and about 2K less. HERE is a link to the comparison between the D3, D700 and 5DMKII.. as you can see the D700 is right there with the D3, and well.. Canon is a little behind, also the D700 being the cheaper of the 3. Here is a review of the D700. The D3 and 5DMKII don't have a review. http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/nikon/d700-review/ Just wanted to throw this out there for you. Both are out of my price range, so I'll stick to the D90 for my first SLR.
  9. Love the pictures Michele.
  10. If I remember correctly, they just built the same house twice in 1 Sound Stage.
  11. [Location Speculation] Another location gone from HHN use? Popular Sound Stage site, SS 22. Home of the most recent house Creatures, and housed the following in previous years: Scary Tales (2001), Pitch Black (2001), Ghost Town (2004), Blood Ruins (2005), Psycho Scareapy: Maximum Madness (2006), Dead Silence: The Curse of Mary Shaw (2007). It has now become another part of TNA Wrestling, here is some information. Here is a little SS map I made of the Sound Stages used for shows and HHN's in the past. We know 20 (BC2 and IT [2008]) and 23 (NOES and PS:HftH [2007], Queue Lines [2008]) can both hold two houses, so will UNI still do 3 SS houses this year, or do 4? Either 2 in each, or one HUGE house or a dual "mirrored" house in 1 (WEH 2005). Not sure what is in the other SS's, but I know one has the Powerball Drawings. Another thing is, will they use 23 for houses again, or use it for a Queue line setup?
  12. Our first year was 2002, HHN 12 (Caretaker). One of the best years IMO, maybe due to the fact it was my first year attending.. but the atmosphere was awesome, and the crowds were a little less back then. IOA had that special feeling to it, however couldn't handle the crowds HHN gets now.
  13. Bobbie Weiner, you can read more about her and the Bloody Mary stuff she has. http://www.dearbloodymary.com/about_bloody_mary.html Here is a quoted line from the page; She also has the "Tale of Bloody Mary" Comic Book line, which if you remember my sigs from last year contained images from the covers. http://www.dearbloodymary.com/the_tales_of...comic_book.html
  14. I'm not sure the whole hacked thing changed it THAT much. It should of started the first weekend, the first FFP night.. and maybe more could of got accomplished. The day we did the tour the only member from A&D that wasn't there was TJ, and that was due to his mother passing. They had a Q&A session, and then after that they hung out and you could talk to whoever 1 on 1 and take pictures, etc. Pretty much the same as the last night's event.
  15. LT.. hrm. They might have to pay me to do this again. The concept and idea was great, and on paper probably looked awesome, but IMO just sucked. Unless running around the park most of the night in a large group and letting a handful of people do most of the work is fun. I could go on and on about the wrongs that LT had. In short, as I said before.. I rather give UNI money and have the Unmasking the Horror Tour back and still get to see what we did on the last night, along with having a more intimate conversation with the A&D team.
  16. I'm looking at the Canon 50D or the Nikon D90 still. Then I'll add accessories to that, it is all about the lens though.. the better the glass the better shot you will get. This is where I go for all my Digital Camera reviews: http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/cameraList.php. Just click on the boxed "R" and it gives you a pretty detailed review. They haven't reviewed the 50D yet, but promise it by the end of January. All the top Nikon's have been reviewed though. They even have decent forums if you need to ask any advice.
  17. Thanks. I like the way it came out. I see more wallpapers in my future.
  18. I agree we will see some sort of "Wolfman" idea at HHN, either as a house or some type of Scarezone. As far as the others, probably see some of it in Bill & Ted.
  19. I got inspired by another wallpaper that was similar to this, however it didn't have a lot of the movies I liked. I decided to create my own, so here is my version of the 'Horror Posters' Wallpaper. You have various resolutions to choose from, all Widescreen format. Just set your background color to black. 800x500; Click below for other sizes. 1024x640 1280x800 1680x1050 1920x1200
  20. Although It will suck not seeing you at HHN, I respect your decision and understand why you chose that way. HOS? hrm, never been.. we always talk about it though. We'll see what parenthood brings us at that time and plan it all out. Anyways, I hope they don't add more houses and take away from the others. 8 is good. Unless UNI won powerball and has a bigger budget, keep HHN as is for now.
  21. Nice. If they do start after Mardi Gras, could that mean more houses? (See last survey), or maybe more detailed? Who knows.. could just be to work around all the construction that's going on. Either way, any HHN news is good.
  22. Thanks. I couldn't get the player to work over there for some reason, I'll have to try it again.
  23. No No. I have the excuse of - I need a better camera to take baby pictures and HHN. To keep it on topic, either the Canon 50D or the Nikon D90. Debates.
  24. Awesome, always love to see your pictures. I can't wait to get my DSLR. Make sure you take pictures of the snow, when/if it snows there. I'm sure you can get some pretty landscape shots.
  25. HATERS! As I liked the character, I do see your points. I also agree that 18 was up there with 12 and 13 for me personally. I think 19 should be original again.. 20 or 21 we all sorta knew something/one would be back.
