New Scareactor - any tips?

Recommended Posts

I've just found out that I'm going to be auditioning for my local park haunt on the 21st. I'm really excited, I have my personal strong points for scares down, but are there any generic dos and don'ts that apply to everyone? Any help is appreciated.

It all depends on the haunt itself. Each haunt has a different type of audition. Mostly they want to see people with energy & can stay in character. Events like HHN type cast (you're tall/short, you'd fit this role), then you've got something like WB that still type cast, but they want people that have a stronger presence with whatever role they audition for. So it just depends what that particular haunt is looking for.

Listen carefully to what the people doing the audition want. Prep a death scene and practice your stalky walk, but most importantly take cues from whoever is speaking.
