  1. Has anyone else been "ripped off" at the park? I touched my card at every house I went to, and i'm missing a few "swipes." Is there any way to capture those points??
  2. Peak nights are Saturdays, but Fridays are really crowded, too. This year the 18th will probably be bad because most Central Florida schools have the 19th off. Believe it or not, the event gets LESS crowded towards Halloween. Halloween night is traditionally one of the least crowded nights of the entire event. Hope this helps
  3. The Match Game? Easy - Two, Head, TV, Flat, Eye, Dorito. Simple:)
  4. Before I begin, let me start by saying that I've been to enough HHN events to know that racing around to try and see all of the Houses is not enjoyable (for me, anyway). I will wait for what seems reasonable, and if it's too long, I'll grab a drink and something to eat, and People Watch. That being said, here is my review... 1st house was The Forsaken. The 1st house you visit always has something to live up to, because we have waited all year to go. This house didn't dissapoint! GREAT detail, plenty of scares, and lots of fun. I caught myself screaming at the scareactors, even though I saw them (courtesy of the green, glowing eyes). The scene where you walk through the "ship" on an uneven boardwalk was really cool. Loved it! SCORE!! 2nd house was The In-Between. I'm always skeptical about black-light/Chroma-Glasses houses as they tend to rely on fluorescent paint. NOT this one! It was amazing within the first 20 feet in. Just as a warning, do NOT go into this house if you've had too much to drink. The woman in front of me had to stop because she thought she was going to toss her cookies. Eeew. Anyway, while this house has a "gimmick," it was well played and kept you wondering what was going to pop out of the dark and freak you out. There were also different forms of room divider strands in here, and it was COOL! LOVED this one, too. Plus, we got to keep the "glasses," so we don't have to pay for them when we go to see the Christmas Lights in Mount Dora this year. SCORE!! 3rd house was Nevermore: The Madness of Poe. I LOVED it, but I also own a 700-page book of Poe's works. My husband isn't an avid reader like I am, but he still loved the house. I'm too much of a literary geek to give an unbiased review, but I LOVED this house, and my No Poe Reading husband did, too! SCORE!! 4th house was Saws N' Steam. I liked it, but I've seen it before. And WHAT the heck was in the fish-tank things? I saw some feet, some hands, and what I THINK were intestines? I also realized that this was a "wet house." This must be based on timing, because all I got was a cold splash at the end of a scene (um, blood is warm - if you're gonna play the game, PLAY it!). Cool atmosphere, but not many real scares - this house relies on staged scares. Didn't love it, but didn't hate it, either. COOL. 5th house was Nightingales: Blood Prey. There weren't a lot of scareactor frights in this one (for me, anyway), but the whole theme of the house was disturbing. Universal did a PHENOMENAL job with making you feel like you were stuck in the trenches. I found myself being empathetic more than once in this house. Physical Scares? Not so many. Psychological scares? PLENTY. SCORE for the Psychological part, COOL for everthing else... 6th house was Winter's Night. As always, the Sound Stage houses didn't skimp on scenery! When we walked in to the Facade, it was freeezing cold, My husband and our friend were CONVINCED that it was real sniw falling! The detail was great (Kudos to all of you that built the diorama behind the brick wall!), but I can honestly say that it wasn't scary - creepy would be a better term. Scenery - COOL! Scares = Not So Much. At this point, I wanted to see H.R. Bloodngutz, but was with two people that didn't want to wait 45 minutes (the longest wait of the night, by the way). That was ultimately OK with me because I was hungry! Ok, pause to eat..nom, nom, nom I had already decided that I didn't want to see The Thing - I saw it at HHN 17, and it was fantabulous then! Why try and improve on something that was already awesome?!? I guess I'm a Horror Bitch - don''t "eff" with my movies, and I won't "eff" with you. But, seriously - how many times do you have to remake a movie before you realize you should have left it alone in the first place???? Ok, so here is my review of The Scarezones.>> We started off through the "7" scarezone. First thing we saw, and it was AWESOME. The scareactors/minions were awesome, especially considering it was still light outside. Hey, if you can creep me out during daylight hours, you rock! Details were great, and I didn't have any trouble figuring out which was which. Hands down - MY FAVORITE!! Grown Evil - I may not be the best judge of this Scarezone because one of the Bat People things whacked me in the face with a wing. Bridge of my nose bleeding? Check. Scratched my glasses and now I can't see clearly? Check. Wow. There were TONS of Cops and Universal attendants, but no one cared, Scare Zone = FAIL, and I have to replace my lenses, to the tune of $150. That sucks. Canyon of Dark Souls - eh. Not great, but not terrible. That is all. Acid Assault - FANTASTIC as far as visual effects go. The effect with the buildings crumbling was great! The scareactors in this zone did an AWESOME job of "blending in." SWEET!!! Lady Luck - eh. Traditionally, Nazerman's is THE place to get scared. Not this year. They had Lady Luck on a balcony, and then had cheesy-looking masked Ladies throughout the zone. Um, I saw the pretty one, why are you trying to force the ugly versions on me three times within 20-feet? I don't get it. Scarezone = if you've never been scared, it's cool. For the other 99.99% of the population, you're not missing much! Nightmaze - really, Universal? REALLY??? This sucked in so many ways that I can't count them, We walked through it around 6 times, hoping it would get better. All hope was lost for me, hoever, when I actuall scared a scareactor! Wasn't his/her fault - they were moving a black panel and THERE I WAS! Anyway, Nightmaze = FAIL
  5. DAMN! This is the ONE house I really wanted to see, but no one else in my group wanted to wait the big, whole 45-minutes. I'm really hoping that a walk-through shows up on YouTube
  6. PM me your login info for the site. I will not do anything with it other than log in and beat the cannon game. Just be sure not to post it in a comment like these messages, or other people can view it.

  7. Yes, please! What info do you need?

  8. Why yes, it is quite possible to beat the loose cannon game! I'll gladly do it for you guys, if you'd like me to.

  9. Ok, can you REALLY beat the loose cannon game? It's driving me and hubby CRAZY!!!

  10. AWESOME review! Thank you so much - now I'm prepared! Can't wait to go!!!
  11. Ok, can you REALLY beat the Loose Cannon screen? It's driving me and my husband NUTS!!!

  12. LOVE the fact that it started with Hells Bells. One of the greatest rock songs by one of the greatest rock bands EVER!
  13. I don't care WHAT I do, or how I do it, I cannot beat the Loose Cannon game. I've used around 4,000 tokens to try and get it, and can't ever cut more than one rope. AAAARRRRGGGGHHH! Especially annoying since it's the last piece of coin that I need.
