Legacy Posted November 16, 2014 Share Posted November 16, 2014 I've seen maps of it, but for the most part it was the attraction with additional props/set pieces in it. The show rooms were modified to include larger scenes, but that was about it. The sell of the attraction was the flashlight helmets that would flicker every so often. Monsters would hide behind both and you'd see their glowing eyes in the dark. It wasn't that good. zombieman Posted June 2, 2015 Share Posted June 2, 2015 The house was essentially a big circular walk around the Poseidon's Fury stage. Despite the simplistic layout, the house did have two things unique to HHN houses up till that point: First and foremost, they kept some of the fire effects on, so while the walkthrough was purposely overly dark, there were instances of fire cannons that brought instant light and heat. Second, they attempted to pull off an interactive element by giving every Xth person a miner's helm with a light on it. The light was very dim, and was "controlled" by your proximity to sensors. Being 2004, I don't know if they used WiFi or Bluetooth or some other control, but as you reached certain areas of the house the light would flicker, turn off, or turn a shade of red (if I recall). Unfortunately the flicker was more of a blink, and the person wearing the light would often illuminate scareactors, killing the scare for everyone else. That, and as mentioned before the glowing eyes of the scareactors made pop scares all but impossible. It was a fantastic concept but so-so execution. If you are saying to yourself "I wish I could go back and see that one", believe me - you're not missing anything. On The Vault, it was a love-it or hate-it house, but the majority did not like it.
