HHN 2014: Skullz

Having clowns in a zone before the maze seems pointless. Why have so much of one type of monster when we already have 2 mazes with vampires, and multiple attractions with zombies ?

When Saw was in the Mummy venue, they had a Pigz scarezone based on the pigs in the movies. It really helped set the tone for the maze. Also, clowns would bring some life to the lower lot that hasn't been there for the past few years.

Don't forget the Silent Hill scarezone. It seemed like an obvious choice to have clowns down there, but I'm pleased with this choice.

Yeah, but the Silent Hill scarezone still wasn't great cause they didn't stand out very well. Clowns would have done that with the bright colors and I'm sure bright lights that would have filled the scarezone. They could have easily had clowns on stilts, too. But I hope Skullz is not as dull as I'm picturing it in my head.

The placing is a little unfortunate, but I'm still really excited to see this scarezone. I think it'll mesh well with the Jurassic Park decor. Plus, this is one of my favorite mythical monsters!

The Wendigo is a demonic spirit believed by Algonquin-based Native American tribes to possess humans and turn them into cannibals.

The term "Wendigo" or "Windigo" is used to describe both the evil spirit as well as the creature that humans can become when possessed by the spirit.

The "monster" version of the mythical creature is human-like, but very tall and gaunt, with deeply sunken eyes and yellowish, decaying skin. They are impossibly thin and have an unending hunger that craves only human flesh.

The best known way to become a Wendigo is through cannibalism. By eating another human being, even out of necessity for survival, a human can be overcome by these spirits and be transformed into one. The fear of turning into this creature was so strong that it was preferable to kill one's self rather than resort to cannibalism.

Wish the zone was just called Wendingo. Even Wendigoz is better than skullz. That's one thing I'll be happy about when Murdy leaves. No more titles with Z's or titles lacking creativity in general.... hopefully unless his replacement does the same. -.- and I know it's just a title that won't affect the zone but it irks me. Lol

I'm thinking the scareactors are going to look something like the ones with the horse skulls in la llorona. Just an animal skull draped in cloth. On stilts.

Not that that isn't fun and all, but on the lower lot, I don't think it'll be very successful.

What I'd like to see down there is a little more fog, double the amount of scareactors, and red lighting that drenches the entire area. Maybe even a strobe that goes off every 15 minutes along with a thunder sound and a beast's roar or whatever wendigos sound like. Impractical, I'm sure.

Omg, I forgot about Saw is the Law. Kill, Jason, Kill was pretty uncreative also. But Clowns 3D is unforgivable. And a zone about wendigo being named Skullz is so unfortunate.

Pretty sure most people (including me) haven't heard of Wendigo. It'd be wtf for the majority of people.

Then again, they should've done it as advertising so people who don't know could look it up.

But HHN is clueless is some aspects.
