That’s right, fans—in just about nine weeks, Halloween Horror Nights will be back taking over the streets of Universal Studios Florida. And, tonight, as another sneak-peek at Halloween Horror Nights 24, we are revealing the first scare zone.

For six seasons now, you’ve seen the most talented up-and-coming makeup artists create gruesome and fantastical characters on Syfy’s hit television series Face Off. And now the most nightmarish creatures they have created will surround you in this year’s Face Off Scare Zone.

This new scare zone will feature ten different character creations inspired by the Syfy hit show, including a look designed by Season 5 Face Off winner, and Universal Orlando make-up artist, Laura Tyler.

The horrifying characters will inhabit five immersive areas within the scare zone, from eerie scarecrows that go to great lengths to protect a spine-chilling farmland to ghoulish brutes that haunt dilapidated castle ruins.

Not only will the scare zone showcase creations from past seasons, the winning look from Season 7, which premieres on Syfy on July 22, will be featured.

So, as you prep for this year’s horror and mayhem, make sure to watch the video below and tune in next week to the Season 7 premiere of Face Off.

the thing that I have a question on is in the video she said "at Halloween Horror Nights on select nights". Does that mean that the scare zone will not be running every night of the event?

No, that means Halloween Horror Nights is on select nights. Remember, HHN isn't everyday.

I'm very curious about this one and have a lot of questions. I am sure it will be amazing but since this show is about make-up I feel the make-ups need to be really on point in this area. While some of the make-ups in the show could take more time to properly execute .... point I am trying to make is that I hope they don't rely on making a bunch of Lady Luck-esque masks for some of these over the top make-ups, like the alligator highlighted in the video, and really put some artists to the test and make this zone as strong as it can be.

I'm wondering if any of the monsters they are showing will make an appearance or if this is for this coming up season? I haven't watched the show since I found out it was rigged... which I think was season 3. If I do I just watch the reveals because I don't care about any of the drama.

Basically one of the disgruntled contestants posted the full contract online that showed who would win in the end. Lo and behold she one.

Disgruntled..... Winner?...... sounds fishy.

Not saying the guy is a stand up guy or anything. He's a jerk to work with and doesn't play by the rules. So take it for what it is. But I agree even before that I felt they made weird decisions that seemed to favor certain people.

idk, for the most part it seems as though the most talented person usually at the very least makes it to the finale, Rashaad(?spelling) was by far the best contestant last season and he won... I do completely agree that some of it does seem staged but then again the entire show feels mechanical and not free flowing and yet I still enjoy every season... Also as a side note, I misread your post, I thought you said that person won and was disgruntled. sorry about that. I was thinking they handed him the competition and he was mad? lol
