It's that time of year again people! Construction is supposed to start this month. As a matter of fact, it's technically already started! they've already started clearing the T2 queue!



Notice how they removed they removed the small silver wall from the queue completely? Compare that image to the 2010 construction:

Anyway, post any construction updates you may have. Just remember that this is not the speculation thread. If you want to speculate on anything found in construction, just post the image and discuss in spec.

I went to Universal again today to catch a glimpse of the new construction going on...this time, without the annoying Daft Punk music. Here ya go!



Black tent in the WWW arena has been erected!

One last look at Terminator. Not much has changed from last week except the black tent in WWW arriving and the carpet being laid out by T2. On my way back to the car, I came across someone familiar...

Hey guys, just for future reference, I would very much appreciate it if all of the posts on here contribute to construction and not steer away from the subject. To help us get back on track, what do you think of the addition that has been added on to the storage structure by the Mummy? Do you think they are going to use that to expand the house down there?

Just went to Universal today and have another construction update for you all! I have one that is pretty exciting as the walls for Western and Terminator have gone up!














Lower lot maze. Nothing really going on yet except for a handful of boxes down there (If you can look closely)



New signage for the JP venue entrance. I'll bet the real reason why they put the sign up there was so that they could have a place to put the maze signage instead of just a cheap banner.



Nothing going on by JP...yet.

That's right, walls have already gone up at Terminator!



Doesn't look like House of 1000 Corpses to me and certainly doesn't look like it'll be in 3D.









If you look closely, you can see that the walls look like they are being re-purposed from Steven's house from Alice Cooper last year.

If I recall wasn't JP the last bit of construction we saw last year besides that they did realy quick work in T2.

It just varies. Remember in 2010 when the major three venues were well under construction and we were still wondering where that fifth house was going? That year Terminator was last while last year it went up first thing. It sounds like they may follow the same pattern as last year.

I was there right before the 4th of July. Terminator queue house is coming along nicely. I'm a little worried about the JP house though, there is literally NOTHING down there. But the same thing happened last year with Terminator and they still pulled it off. I saw a few steel drums on the backlot as far as TT is concerned. I can't wait to see more pictures and videos. I won't be able to make it to the park until HHN.

Just went to Universal earlier today (The 12th) and snapped a few construction photos as well as a few fun ones on the side.

Construction on the Wild West arena:













Look at that. They've painted the walls to resemble that of a forest. I wonder if they're doing that to make it fit in with the theme of the maze....



Carpet has been laid out for the lower lot. Nothing was going on by JP or Shrek.



The most metal thing you'll see all week. Now I've saved the best for last...

Remember when John Murdy said something about doing the largest room they've ever done for the history of HHN? Well, I think this is it. I doubt that little stand will be in the house though. Haha. I'll post my thoughts on what I think it could be in the spec. thread.



Among those three doorframes, do you see a wheel-like structure in the middle? I'll share my thoughts on this in the spec. thread.

So there you go. That's the ENTIRE T2 queue and the maze update for the day.

Disclaimer: I got those last shots with permission from the cast members. We stood by the side before entering the T2 show to finish our floats and they were totally cool with taking pictures and looking around the balcony.

The only thing that's happening in HoH right now is lots of people walking through there.

Seeing those walls puts the last nail in the coffin for WTMN returning. It would make no sense for them to use those walls in T2 and then make new ones for a repeat.

Am I the only one who feels that this will be slightly longer than Corpses?
