Lol if ur not really allowed to say, then why bring it up? And yes I agree with the tram enterance as well
Man, I have to agree. There not much that's less popular around here than the person who claims to be "in the know". Every year we have to endure somebody who knows a guy who knows a guy who has a brother.

its cause everyone is so intent on the maze being moved to the Studio Tour area. I'm just trying to point out that there are other places.
EXCELLENT!

Don't doubt Lucas, he probably knows because as for myself, I know the entire event. I'm just humoring myself by pretending I don't to take part in the conversations. Matter of fact, I've known every year. That Alice meltdown I had last year? Totally planned.

Buahaha. Just bustin your balls, mate! :-D

Found this while lookin' up stuff on the Buffy maze, somethin I think Freak would appreciate!

WILL YOU BE DOING BUFFY EVERY YEAR?
We are hoping we will have a continuing relationship with Fox, whether it be Buffy and Angel or one of their new properties, we don’t know. If we did do a Buffy maze again next year, it would be an entirely different maze. It would still be based on Buffy, but we change our mazes every year.

^I found that article while researching for the pre-hiatus HHN events! Really cool insight on the past!

I think he was joking and we usualy can tell those people because every year they start off saying something random and off topic by saying they have a good authority that Nightmare on elm Street will be back this year or that some obscure movie will be the theme like Hatchet and all the rest of the post will be them crying about how we leave them out of our undead reindeer games followed by some fowl language aimed at usualy me DTH or Steven for not believeing them then there 5th post is either I quite or the famouse last words of most "Forum prophets" "go ahead Ban me from the forums". then we all share a laugh how in october Hatchet is not part of the event and we move on, luckly we hav'nt had a bansheeman this year *knock on wood*

back to the topic I seen a few video from the transformers ride and it all seems to be a inside queue and I think pretty sure there is more room with the big cardboard fence now gone so I think the mummy Queue maze will still hang this year.

^ That is true, most of the overflow is located inside (you can see this in some of the videos out there right now.) If they'll have to build a makeshift one in the summer, however, is something that seems quite possible if the crowds are that big.

Yes, the inside queue for Transformers is freakin' MASSIVE but, and there's a HUGE but here... it fills up quite fast. At 80 minutes, that line was already in the Backdraft queue. Come HHN, I'm sure it'll reach 120 and they'll probably need to make an extra extended queue of some sort. Either that or they create a fastpass system which is kinda what they did last year for Alice (I never experienced that first hand so if someone could go into more detail as to how they did that, it might be helpful).

Also, the biggest BUT of them all, the exit is directly in the path of that alley leading up that maze. Not to mention, right across from it is the Transformers merch store. We all know they're not going to close an opp for people to spend extra money so a lot of traffic won't just be getting out of the area but crossing the alley way. Okay, maybe with some line moderation from the help of one or two employees, it could work. Right? Not exactly. There's three entrances to the Transformers building, all of which are directly in the path of the extended Backdraft queue. There's the regular queue, the Gate A queue and the single rider queue. And THEN the exit. And THEN the entrance to the Transformers merch store.

So even if the line would NEEEEEVER reach the Backdraft queue (which it will easily during HHN time but for hypothetical sake), I see no plausible way of moderating a line from the Backdraft queue to cross all three entrances of Transformers, it's exit and a merchandise store and then continue down the alley to the entrance of the maze.

They would have to 1) stop an entire street of traffic from entering the Transformers ride 2) stop people from exiting the Transformers ride 3) stop people from entering the Transformers store 4) still direct people either to point A (the Backdraft queue for the maze) or to point B (the Transformers ride's three entrances) 5) moderate the alley way side of the queue and communicate between the sea of people entering Transformers with the Backdraft side of the queue to let people cross and then moderate someone to stop street traffic and someone to stop Transformers exit traffic 6) have a certain amount of people cross from the Backdraft queue to the alley way side of the queue and get across cleanly without anyone sticking out in the middle area so traffic could continue to cross 6) and finally, inform the stupid people heading straight for the alley way they must go to the Backdraft queue to line up for the maze.

It's freakin IMPOSSIBLE and would create the biggest cluster fuck ever seen on the lower lot. Such a headache and nuisance for no reason when they could simply throw the line under the escalators and have the exit come down the alley way toward the Transformers exit. There'd be a bit of trouble with the JP queue maze clashing with the behind the Mummy maze as well as the handicap service vans coming down the street but hell, it's a much better option. It's such a valuable maze location though so I hope they figure out some way to make it work.

I don't recall a fastpass system being used last year....

They could very easily do that...at least when the Transformers hype dies down next year. Like I've said before on this thread, the problem here isn't where they can put the queue and exit for the Mummy venue, but how many people the fire marshal will all down there. They can work out all of the queue solutions they want to, but the marshal has the final say as to how many people can go down there. That's why I'm saying that the Terror Tram loading would work in the JP queue since the place where they would have put the maze would open up a LOT more queue space for a people-eating attraction.

The handicap van won't be an issue since they could unload them by the JP bathrooms like they did last year.

well we will see locations soon as july is about a month away but I think we can all agree....so much for decor in the lower lot again this year

as for fast pass, on some nights every year they will find something to pass out a one shot FOTL pass for whatever is the star attraction of the year like in 2010 they gave one for either King Kong 360 or SAW: Game On for the audiance for the first Bill & Ted Show of the night and then last year I heard they did it again for whoever took the first terror tram and it was good for Alice Cooper or House Of 1000 Corpses they are also used from what I heard mind you, that they will give one if something happens that make your trip unenjoyable like if they have to shut the maze down for a bit ect to the people who were waiting in line as far as outside of the FOTL that as close as it gets. if they do it again this year I can imagine it would be for Transformers and whatever the big maze is this year.

I wouldn't count that out just yet. We could be pleasantly surprised. You never know. :)
