Had some interesting table mates at lunch today. Look for construction to begin middle to the end of May. Oh and you can check out my table mates website HERE!

Cool beans but I herd from Nancy that construction might start in March :) Who knows but they are starting early this yr then in yrs past.. Basicly right after Mardi Gras is over.

Nice. If they do start after Mardi Gras, could that mean more houses? (See last survey), or maybe more detailed? Who knows.. could just be to work around all the construction that's going on. Either way, any HHN news is good. :)

Here is some speculation you can put to rest. C_D will be purchasing a FFP this year. So as many thought I was just venting I will not be a member of the HHN19 team, I will be a guest. I am happy with my decision and will not revert. To much drama being a scareactor. Seems that alot of the new scareactors are more on the Drama Queen side, many do not understand the art of the scare.
BUT
Should my interview go well in the morning you can bet I will rock HOS this year.

Although It will suck not seeing you at HHN, I respect your decision and understand why you chose that way. HOS? hrm, never been.. we always talk about it though. We'll see what parenthood brings us at that time and plan it all out.

Anyways, I hope they don't add more houses and take away from the others. 8 is good. Unless UNI won powerball and has a bigger budget, keep HHN as is for now.

Oh I cant wait to hang out with you CD at the event.. U will scareactors lol. Its none of my business why you decided to leave the scareactors but as long as you stay a big fan I'm happy.

I think where going to have 8 houses for a while, and the houses right now are already detailed enough.. there so detail the scene team doesnt know where to put boo holes. Hense why theres been more and more atosmphere.

I agree with the people thinking some sort of werewolf/wolfman will show up at HHN 2009 since this looks to be the year of the lycanthrope.

Hairy guys potentially showing up this year:

Jan 23: "Underworld: Rise of the Lycans" is supposed to come out featuring wolfy dudes
May 1: Hugh Jackman returns in "X-Men Origins: Wolverine"
Nov 6: "The Wolfman" starring Benecio Del Toro (Can't wait for this one. I can see him being scary)
Nov 20: "New Moon" sequel to "Twilight" (has werewolves in it)

- Fox has a new dramedy pilot in works tentatively titled "Bitches" (about a quartet of female werewolf friends in NYC)
- Rumored that Season 2 of HBO's "True Blood" will get some hairy additions

Just a thought

I agree we will see some sort of "Wolfman" idea at HHN, either as a house or some type of Scarezone. As far as the others, probably see some of it in Bill & Ted.

I cant see a SZ for Wolfman but a house.

I also think LT will be updated right aroung the time Mardi Gras start or near the end of its run... but I could be wrong.

LT.. hrm. They might have to pay me to do this again. The concept and idea was great, and on paper probably looked awesome, but IMO just sucked. Unless running around the park most of the night in a large group and letting a handful of people do most of the work is fun.

I could go on and on about the wrongs that LT had. In short, as I said before.. I rather give UNI money and have the Unmasking the Horror Tour back and still get to see what we did on the last night, along with having a more intimate conversation with the A&D team.

OK So I was sitting here thinking of different ways the event could be "Classic" as we have heard before. I think we are all ready for something all new, nothing based off movies. Then my mind went skitzo and it hit me.
Hell For the Holidays
Event based off major holidays/folk Lore/ ect., such as
Easter, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Tooth Fairy, Boogie Man, Valentines Day, Birthday, And Wedding Day.
Yes the Wedding Day would tie in to the rumored Jack and Chance wedding, and there have been movies based on the others, but I am sure if Universal put their minds to it they could create backstories to bring these to life in a most horrific way.
A total Universal creation, what we almost had at 15.

You are genius! I never even thought of that. Very good points.

Well thats sounds like a good idea and almost reminds me of Nightmare Before Christmas and if you pay attention to this past yrs event there was A LOT of Tim Burton references.

A wedding IMO would be ok. it definitely wouldnt be horrible, but it definitely wouldnt be fantastic. I think jack has appeared way to much in the past couple years. and i think it is to early to be bringing him back.

As for chance goes, i wouldnt want her to be considered an icon. im not a big fan of her, but she really doesnt bother me.

And even though i havent experienced all the icons yet, and i eventually want to, but not yet. Its to early for another reunion.

I think that'd actually be somewhat creepy. In my opinion, Chance seems to view Jack as a father-type figure/guardian and the concept of that is just...gross.

It's like...Jack exploits Chance like a greedy father exploits a daughter with talent.

The whole concept just seems odd to me.

I think that a "Wolfman"-type creature would be hard to pull off. There's a lot of ways that could go wrong.

I want a repeat effect of the "crowded" room in DE and the "head" room in the Hallow.

Both were amazinggg.

Yeah, I agree that a wolf-man house would be really hard to pull off.. I think a scarezone would be difficult too. (I'm not even going to go into the stuff that started the drama on the vault. We don't need that over here. Sheesh)

The crowded room was awesome in DE. That effect needs to come back.
