Last night, if you follow us on Twitter and Facebook you may have seen a post from us about Finnegan’s! Let’s revisit.
If you’ve been going to Halloween Horror Nights in the past you noticed something different when trying to enter Finnegan’s last night. A queue line! Wait, what? A queue line to get into the bar? That’s right!
Now you may be asking why? We asked what the reason was and we were told that none of the outside bar tents are serving liquor this year, only beer, wine, and the event specialty drinks. We’ve also heard rumors from the OK, that this is only a test to see how things work out, to the insane, that the event could be working its way towards a more dry event.
Although we only waited about 10 minutes to get to the bar, what will happen on really busy peak nights as the event goes on? Will the line exit out the doors and around the sidewalks looking like some Black Friday sales event? No telling!
We understand that by not selling liquor at the tents, Finnegan’s could be such a cluster with everyone packed up by the bar and just “hanging” out. So to avoid that, Universal created the queue line. So, what are your thoughts on this? Do you think it’s a good idea, and it’ll work, or should Universal go back to the how the event has always been regarding the alcohol policy? After all this IS Orlando, not Hollywood!
If you experience this and think it’s good or bad, please let Universal know by contacting Guest Services or DM’ing @UniversalORL on Twitter! Let them know your thoughts!
EDIT: We are hearing via Twitter and Facebook posts that this could be a trial/test to see how it works out! Also heard at the last minute that the Jello shots (Hearts) were pulled at the last minute, even though Universal advertised them in a blog post announcing new food and drinks.
